Sorry about disappearing for a while, I needed to take some time off for medical reasons. I'm slowly getting back to "normal," but it may be a little while longer before everything is fully back up and running. Don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t have to search for these videos whenever they drop!

I always forget about this one, and I can say, unlike Gavin when he goes off on a science rager Burnie is 100% wrong. Sun burn is from UV radiation, while a campfire does not give off UV radiation. So Burnie just got burnt...

But he said he didn't touch the campfire. He was just near it and somehow got crispy.

I think the issue is a misunderstanding of radiation. If you were to stand close to a hot object like a fire you definitely could get burned due to the thermal radiation or infrared radiation being released as heat but that would not be the same type of burn as a sunburn as it is the suns ultraviolet radiation that burns us. Infrared radiation causes your cells to heat up which can break down the cells however it does not effect the body at the molecular level. UV on the other hand can break down molecules including DNA. It’s kind of a semantic issue but it’s why we classify sunburns separately from thermal burns. Despite his name Burnie doesn’t not know his burns.

This! BURNie needs to learn about burns and to not gaslight poor Chad. I know he plays the fool ( Boomstick ) but he is correct. UV is a radiation burn from I think the Infrared and Ultraviolet spectrums... low level Gamma? Not sure about the last one it may degrade before it gets to us. Fire is at its most basic a chemical reaction. between the material burning and the oxygen in are air. Heat being a byproduct. That heat is what buns you and can be more or less intense depending on what is burning.

@@TimedRevolver Bro knowing Burnie this could be from years and years ago, he could've gone camping with some buddies and got drunk. I wouldn't be surprised if he got burned without his knowledge or his buddies could have messed with him. Also, Burnie has remembered information incorrectly before. There's clips of him completely contradicting himself when retelling some stories, so really him saying that doesn't mean sht lol

Bru tried to pull a Gavin but with Gavin he can explain it and it slowly becomes clear that what he is saying is facts and not a confusing mess like he worded it in the beginning

I feel like something not mentioned enough is that Burnie thinks the sun is just a big campfire…. Giant ball of fusion that will continue for billions of years…..burning logs…..same thing……

Honestly when this happened I had to look into it because I felt like Sun's radiation had to be different from a camp fire, and it seems like sun burns are UV radiation and a normal fire isn't strong enough and closer to infrared radiation. Then he looked it up and called it fake.

You ever take a hot shower after being in the sun and the heat from the shower makes it come out? The heat from a campfire could also make it come out. Sun was the cause of the burn. Campfire was the catalyst to bring it out. Probably.
