See the thing with Australian game prices is that I may have paid $89 for Black Ops 4 but my minimum hourly wage is $25.
@abbeyroad8973

In American money, that is $17.66 atm. Which is still much higher than our minimum wage. 👍
@raioni1059
5 жыл бұрын
Abbey Road the system is a bit different in Aus anyways. Minimum wage is calculated based on age, experience and industry. We also have a pay grade called “casual” which is basically part time but without a guaranteed schedule, no holidays and no sick leave which is then calculated into the hourly wage hence why it is so high. My part time/ full time min wage would be around $20 which is still pretty good though for a small office receptionist.

A superannuation salary sacrifice is also an effective way of dodging taxes I hear. Or at least paying less. Also it may be true that it is a comparably weak currency, but the high wages and lack of effectively enforced online GST charge really negates most of the lost purchasing power. Most Australians definitely have a higher purchasing power than most Americans in terms of local and online goods that's can be purchased in one pay check.

Beautiful. Was watching the podcast and right after Bernie says "Alexa, your doing a great job." the video cut to an ad.
Obviously Gavin doesn't live with someone who probably has a giant cosmetics bag that probably has some kind of black pencil in it used for making marks on eyelids.

I'm late to the Rooster Teeth fandom, I'm aware this is from 2 years ago, but in response to Gus' pizza comments: Pizza Dough is mixed and rolled into balls, then allowed to rise under refrigeration for 3-7 days. This is what makes it different from normal bread, which is risen warm for 2-8 hours

You can actually heat something higher than its boiling point. Boiling point isnt the hottest something it can get it's just the point at which it cant get any hotter without boiling.
@I-am-Hrut

its state changes though. boiling water becomes steam, carrying away the excess heat. that is why you can boil a sauce packet of like marinara without burning it.

what burnie said is correct. if you boil water (under normal conditions in a normal household) it will get to 100°C and then stay at that temperature until it is gone

If you have a water filtration system, you don't much care for these things. But yes, you can pressure boil water and just collect the steam to make water that you can drink.

You have to use something to keep the water vapor from escaping to go over boiling. I'm pretty sure that is how a pressure cooker works.
Very good podcast hahahah I was cracking up
I haven’t watched this podcast in a good month or so and I come back to this (by this I mean the intro) and I’m still not even surprised
Best podcast in a long time
It’s about to be August 30th 2022. I’m ready to watch Burnie swim the channel.
This was a hilarious episode. Incidentally, Burnie mentioned that Haagen-Dazs ice cream last year, and I saw one pint of it at the supermarket late in the year. A woman said "Oh I was looking for one of those. they're delicious" when I grabbed it, so I let her have it. Big mistake; I wasn't able to find another one the rest of the holiday season. This year, I won't be so charitable
You talk about lines for voting? Maybe it’s just a Minnesota thing but I’ve always mailed in my ballot for early voting
Got great timing, Burnie said Alexa you’re doing a great job and went to ad.
I love johns nails
Jon’s laugh is the best thing
Around 1:20:00 there is a help for the wifi-data thing. Try going into developer mode and see if there is a force switch when 1 is stronger. Also if you are struggling with data try turning on airplane mode and turning it back off
OMG as soon as Gavin said the word tic tac I got a 5 second tic-tac ad that went straight back to him talking about having a bad reaction.
Got a perfect timed Roomba ad when they started talking about Roombas
Gus postal service rants are hilarious
But he is the king of starting stories that he will never finish
Good tip for people who gets mail from different houses. You write RTS(Return to sender) or ANK(Addressee not known) for letters that are not yours. Leave those letters in the out going box if you live in an apartment or you can leave it in your own box. Your local postman carrier will forward it.

I know that feeling with the artificial cinnamon. I chewed cinnamon gum for two days solid back in 2008, and my tongue swelled up and broke out in sores. I didn't eat anything solid for three days because it hurt too much to chew.
one thought that really freaked *me* out recently: something that runs 100% of the time? the human heart (give or take) runs your entire life without a break. ever.

Professional Stoner, a lot, many of the people that live there can't afford to move out. The lead plumbing would have been fine if the state government hadn't changed the water supply to a chemically treated water supply with chlorine and fluoride in it. The chemicals ate away the lead pipes releasing lead into the water

06:18 Yes, 100 degrees Celsius is the boiling point of water at one atmosphere, so just increase the pressure. So, in a pressure cooker or even a whistling tea pot the temp of boiling water can go above 100 degrees Celsius.
