Let's not get over optimistic about ethanol please 🙏. Our irrigation system is heavily dependent on ground water which must change and water consumption intensity has to come down significantly. Work on efficienct irrigation system has to be our first priority before adopting ethanol at a large scale as fuel.

I had that horrible experience, my 2021 7400kms car had a ruptured fuel hose last year. My whole family of 6 were travelling and we almost burnt alive. It was just luck that saved us when we had to make a stop in the nick of time and smelt the stench of petrol.

Intresting fact: Model T Ford could run on 100% ethanol. But rockfeller's standard oil started selling petrol/gasoline very cheap and put a pump ⛽ in every corner. The automobile industry transitioned to fossil fuels.

My guess is as good as yours but I’m guessing let’s wait for this tech to become a little more mainstream before we buy a flex fuel car :)

80% of petrol price is just government tax , so bringing ethanol will not change that , government will also tax on top of it , soon ethanol would also be selling at 100₹

Water is the main problem... If we find a solution for that, then no need of OPEC

Yeah but would request you to listen to Honorable minister Nitin Gadkari sir's speech, he told that a vehicle that runs on a blend of flex fuel and electricity will lead to petrol prices of only Rs 15 per litre. The same we have mentioned in the video :)

@@PrateekSinghLearnApp In short .. in order to achieve Rs 15 / litre target ... We should scrap our existing car & then buy Innova hycross for Rs 30 lakhs .... lots of saving .... Refreshing ....

If E20 is so revolutionary, which I think it is, where were Indian scientists sleeping in 1990 ? Brazil has been blending petrol with ethanol since 1988 ! That said, availability of E20 petrol is still very sketchy. Out of about 15 petrol pumps on my daily commute, only 1 has it. Only IOC, while HP and BP are still nowhere. I have tried E20, and have found no difference in driving. I did get a feeling though that mileage could be marginally better. Apart from customer apprehension, zero price advantage is another issue. Give us E20 at 85 per litre, if not less.

E20 destroys older upto max E10 tolerant vehicles. They reduce power (torque) & fuel economy by 25-35% and also cause fire hazards by making rubber fuel delivery systems rupture and fail. Engine life too will be reduced by a third.

English would have been better.

I bought Balrampur Chini Mills at 300 just when this flex fuel news came in late 2021. But then I exited at 500 bcoz again news came that it would take more time to act on this 😂... #firstprofit

Ethanol is destroying vehicles that aren't made to run on heavy ethanol blends. I mean how the feck is my 2021 model maximum E10 fuel tolerant (allowed by the manufacturer) car expected to run without breaking down on E20?? In fact me and my family of 6 almost got killed when a rubber fuel hose ruptured and petrol leaked onto the car's rear axle sploshing close to the exhaust. We just managed to save our lives cause we had to make a stop and noticed the fuel leak due to the stench of petrol from our year old car. Then the car(MPV) used to return 16-18kmpl on a litre of fuel, now it returns only 11-13kmpl with this legally adulterated E20 petrol. Also consider the fact that price of rice and cattle feed are also increasing. Rice, cause it's being diverted to make Ethanol. Cattle and poultry feed cause the rice that gets damaged and unfit for human consumption was used for making cattle and poultry feed. In every other country they sell Ethanol blended fuel on lower prices and also sell pure petrol at normal price as before. Here they're shoving Ethanol blends down our throats at inflated prices and also creating scarcity for food in the process pushing it's price up. We're getting screwed from both sides and you KZread schmucks as well as opposition parties even are blind bats to not see the scam of the century!!!
