great reaction guys! a few explanations: - regarding seetha calling rama raju's mom, auntie, we address older people unrelated to us by titles like "uncle" and "auntie". if they are only a few years older than us, we will call them "didi" (older sister) for women, and "bhai" / "bhaiyya" / "anna" (older brother) for men. - the beat that they were using to communicate with one another was the same beat that the nacho nacho (naatu naatu) song is based on. that is how they know what it is. it's the same beat rama raju used to call out to bheem as he was dying from the snake bite. but at that point it was not fully discernable because it was kind of off beat bc of the fact that he was literally dying - in regards to bheem's brother calling to the snake-- it's not that he can "talk" to snakes, but he knew that the snake would follow the noise. they are tribal villagers who have knowledge about their own environment and the creatures that inhabit it. which is also why, while the english have no idea how to deal with the venomous bite of the banded krait, bheem knew how to deal with it. that is also the reason why bheem knew how to heal raju's wounds when at the climax - the way they knew the tnt was in the building that the burning motorcycle landed in, was through jenny giving bheem the blueprints. - lastly, the older gentleman in the final song (etthara jenda) that you probably didn't recognize is S.S. Rajamouli, the director!

RIP Ray Stevenson (Scott Buxton). This movie is unique in many ways and an outlier in that it appeals to a wider global audience. Most 99.9% of Indian movies are made for Indians (including this one). So, don't be disappointed if/when you watch a slew of suggestions that will come your way from the commenters. You will already notice that there won't be any consensus in the comments section. Each person will suggest what they liked. Most of the movies will suck (with a few exceptions) from a western perspective.

When Bheem tries to find the solitary cell in which Ram is imprisoned , the beat with which they both communicate is the same one that Ram beats in the beginning of Naatu Naatu song, which is why Ram instantly recognizes it’s Bheem. Ram did it too when he tried to get Bheem’s attention when he was poisoned by the snake bite, It was great seeing you guys appreciate the masterpiece that RRR is, words just fail me in describing what this film means to me, how much I love it and how profoundly deep it is, and of course how much I love Ram Charan ❤ who did phenomenal, and what’s great too, so did the rest of the cast. Regarding Jenny: not sure what she is supposed to be but I feel like she's more of a lady in waiting than a figure of authority in that house. We see her standing up against violence however she can, stopping the soldiers from beating up the man at the beginning for example. She's not powerful enough to demand Malli to be liberated, but instead does her best to try and make her more comfortable (buys her a dress, elephant doll and bangal when everyone else stays away from her and doesn't care unless she's painting and singing at one of the parties). She also stands up for Bheem when the other guy tries to bully him at the ball. When she learns that there is a revolution going on, she immediately does whatever she can to help and tells Bheem where Raju is. Of course there is always this question of "but if you are on the oppressor's side, can you really be good ?" that remains but I think given that she did everything she could with the limited power she had, she did quite well.

Awesome reaction Guys! Glad you witnessed this masterpiece of an entertainer. This is one of the best creations from South of India(Tollywood). You can't even imagine the experience of us people watching, screaming, dancing in the theatre with our extreme heart out. The amount of cheers, screams, whistles people do in indian theatres is unreal. It would've been a 100 times better experience if you would've watched it in theatre with the Indian audience. Please watch more movies from Indian cinema like- *Must watch and best are* BAHUBALI 1&2- A grand action, War movie of the same director 3 IDIOTS- Drama, Comedy, Inspiration genre based on Education system BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN- Drama, Feel Good, Emotional PK- Comedy, religion based Social issue awareness movie TUMBADD- One of the best Horror with amazing story ANDHADHUN- An Amazing Drama, Crime-Thriller with twists DEVDAS- A grand Drama, Musical and awesome Love Story

Raju's character reminds me of "the owl" from attack on titan. I know there's a huge difference b/w the two personality wise but they do have striking similarities.

seetha is not ram's cousin. seetha just spent a lot of time at his house. In India you call people thats not related to you "aunt" or "uncle" "brother" or "sister" its just a way of showing respect

Seeta is not Ram's cousin...She's Ram's Fiance....She calls his mother Aunt because In India we don't call elders by their names...It's always Aunt or uncle even though they are not related to you💖

Recent bollywood romance/drama movies I would recommed "YEH JAWANI HAI DEEWANI", "SANAM TERI KASAM", "DIL DHADAKNE DO", "AASHIQUI 2", "STUDENT OF THE YEAR", "RAM LEELA", "KAPOOR AND SONS" 😍🔥

Kapoor and Sons & Ram Leela are the only good films from this list, YJHD & DDD are enjoyable guilty pleasures. But none of these movies are recommendable to someone who just watched their first Indian film.

British rule treated America and India very differently. They thought of Indians as sub humans. Their severe cruelty is well known. One of the English bars once read in India that "Dogs and Indians are not allowed". Indian revolutionaries were spied upon and tortured brutally on apprehension.

So yes, Seetha was indeed his cousin, but just want to clarify, only some sections of South Indian Hindus are cool with cousin marriages. In the North, it's like an extreme taboo, in fact close cousins are considered akin to siblings. The trend is decreasing in the South as well. Having said that, in India, it's common to call all elders uncles & aunties, like let's say even to the parents of your friends, gf/bf, etc. It's a mark of respect to the elders. Nothing to do with being genetically related. Not the case in this film (and also the life of real Rama Raju), but just FYI
