In Vietnam war it was used to destroy navy patrol boats after it is entrap by steel cables strung across the river to ensnare it..😂😂

Max usable range 500m or 550 yds it drifts in the wind allowance must be made. In Afghanistan they use its 920m or 1006 yd self destruction mechanism to down US helicopters. Its dual warhead version can slay any tank and its Thermobarric warhead can destroy any bunker building vehicle or troops in the vacinity instantly

@abis8 alpha8 but there's many types amunition for RPG-7, it makes the weapon widely use for many threat

It gets the job done in a pinch, not as powerful as a Javelin, but when cost matters this is the go to weapon, effective and efficient.

War is expensive, Peace is Priceless!)

I used it a lot in the lebanise war...i used them for killing snipers on roof or in small windows....very effective In any way.....

When i play call of duty,i prefer have AK-47 and the RPG-7.I love these weapons.

@@jmdoza3938 If we compare the technical characteristics of Western and Russian weapons, then it really turns out that Western weapons are slightly better than Russian ones. But the catch is that the Russians are trying to make weapons as simple and cheap as possible and at the same time effective. Take the Russian T-72 tank, for example. and the American M1 Abrams. M1 is definitely better, but its cost is about 6 million dollars, while one T-72B will cost 350-400 thousand dollars. For the cost of one M1, you can buy 15 T-72 tanks. The same is with an RPG. -7. Why buy one Javelin, when for this money you can equip an RPG-7 with an entire battalion.

@@ulflyng4072 Don't worry, they won't run out. 15 T-72s on one M1 leave no chance for Abrams. And I will remind you that in WW2 the Americans sacrificed 4 Shermans for one German Tiger. But you didn't run out of them?

had 4 of them bounce off the side of my m2a2 Bradley fighting vehicle in iraq in 2003. Bradley had no damage (other then ruck sides on the side having shrapnel damage). our other platoon lost a soldier, and 13 injured in an ambush where an AP round from rpg went though the side of up armored HMMWV and other HE round went in to the side of a m35 2 1/2 ton truck. simple, easy to use, and reloadable. biggest issue is that once you fire it you are more then likely going to be dead, because you have to be so close.

When I was in Bosnia, we had one fired at us while out on patrol but thankfully it didn't detonate! Slapped into a stone wall about 10 metres behind me and our platoon 2ic! The Serb who shot it paid for that dud!!! Our 2ic and myself just looked at each other and the wall and burst out laughing with a mixture of fear and relief, when all the fire was over! We couldn't believe our luck if the thing had of gone off we both would have been history for sure 😆👍😆🇬🇧

Played with these in lebanon, you can fly it round a corner if you have a good crosswind. Saw a guy imitate rambo, he tried to fire it through a windscreen on a vehicle, only did that once

Cost effective, simple learning curve for use (look at the people in the video not rocket scientist type) the bang for the buck factor is great.

It also has a thermobaric round! Heat and pressure! A snipers dream target!

I knew it has been around for long time but not since '61 (I was thinking '65). I know in Somalia '93, one Skinny shot one our trucks, and either shot too close to be armed or door/human body was too thin to detonate, but it went through the door, got stuck inside his body and never went off. The soldier died of his injuries short time later.

Ok RPG 7 is good but I've notice some thing which is very important let me give you one example when we used sniper gun actually we the sniper vision which you determine the distance by zooming so the RPG 7 it doesn't have the sniper visions zoom to determine the target and not to miss it. Think about?.

I think designers of RPG-7 back in fifties and sixties counted that its effective range up to 300m and dimensions of intended targets (tanks/trucks and various blockposts) dont require some more complex optical sights. Optical sights in RPG-7 using "logaro" ruler. Shooter at first "put" target on the ruler in sights and read direct distance of the target from ruler, then pick corresponding optical cross and aim target. Its almost same technique as is used for optical sights of SV Dragunov rifle with its original optics PSO-1.

@@the.606 A RPG-7 can break a track, or damage the running gear enough to immobilise every tank so a Abrams too. In addition, Turkish Leopard 2 were destroyed by RPG-7. Also Abrams can be destroyed with RPG-7 too. Because tanks don't just consist of frontal armor.

@@GreatPolishWingedHussars bro💀💀💀💀💀there is no Abrams and Leopard 2 have been destroyed by RPG-7, And the LEOPARD 2that have been used is old Leopard 2a4, and most Leopard that have been destroyed is by ATGMs TOW-2B, and RPG-7 cannot penetrate Leopard 2 and Abrams almost any angle since it's only a hollow charge not tandem charge, and there is this called Tank Urban Survival kit, they put double layers of ERA to protect against TANDEM SHAPE, or NERA ADDON.

@@the.606 The Abrams tank is not sufficiently protected because it has no reactive armor. Most Leopard IIs don't have reactive armor either. Those are tanks with no reactive armor! But the PG-7VR, is a 'tandem charge' device, used to defeat reactive armor with a single shot. At Wiki RPG-7 you can read that during the War in Afghanistan, several M1A2 Abrams were temporarily disabled by RPG-7 hits. On 28 August 2003, it achieved a mobility kill against an American M1 Abrams hitting the left side hull next to the forward section of the engine compartment. The RPG-7 can fire a variety of warheads for anti-armor (HEAT, PG-Protivotankovaya Granata) or anti-personnel (HE, OG-Oskolochnaya Granata) purposes, usually fitting with an impact (PIBD) and a 4.5 second fuze. Armor penetration is warhead dependent and ranges from 30 to 60 centimetres of RHA; one warhead. So with the right ammo, the shoulder-launched, anti-tank, rocket-propelled grenade launcher RPG-7 can destroy both the Leopard II and the M1 Abrams! Because this are actually obsolete 3rd generation tanks from the 70s against which the RPG-7 was designed.
