Nice video. I have an i7-4810mq & a 2gb Nvidia quadro k2100m mobile workstation. It's probably the bare minimum for RPCS3. Though I saw a couple of gameplay videos like Dark Souls with this spec at 30fps. I know I would be overstressing my CPU with this emulator. So, not worth it. But it handles PCSX2, Dolphin, Vita3K & CEMU quite comfortably. I used to play some N.Switch games with Ryujinx & Yuzu. But those were also a bit too much for it. CEMU is as far as it can go decently. I recently installed Dolphin & I'm really excited to play GameCube games like RE4 & RE Zero on Dolphin.

Hey, great video. I’m just getting back into emulation and discovered some awesome PS3 era gems from watching it. You’ve got some great vids on your channel and I was wondering would you be able to put together a short tutorial video, or might be able to point me in the direction of a guide or something, showing how to map a Wii mote and nunchuck to an Xbox controller in Dolphin emulator? There’s a couple of Wii games I wanted to check out that only use motion controls. But I’ve seen people mention there’s a way to remap them to an external Xbox controller. I just can’t find a guid how to get it all up and running.

I had a nice game collection, maybe 300 or so physical, but my mission has been preservation. I've backed up all my games and sold them all. I just use emulators and modded consoles now. Emulating is my favorite way to play tho

Not many, I think. As good as the Deck is, it does have limits. I heard from another commenter that Silent Hill Downpour works fine though.

Games I have tested that work so far. Persona 4 Arena, Bleach Soul Resurrection, Asura's Wrath, Demon Souls, Silent Hill Downpour, Odin Sphere leifthrasir, 3D Dot Game Heroes (but still has the bug that crashes after you exit a dungeon and then persists throughout), and Lollipop Chainsaw.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is fully playable for me. I've played through it once at 1080p and I'm currently playing through again at 4K 60FPS (bought a 4K display finally, now I can retro game in style). Surprisingly few issues and the game runs as stable as can be!

The legendary GTI Club+ by Konami runs perfect in this emulator. I own it on my real PS3, but i also play it on my Legion Go PC Handheld.

What beautiful games, you know, can you play them in stereoscopic 3D video mode and change the field of view or the proportion of the image? Thanks bye see you soon

You are able to play it without one, but the experience will not be fun. you can switch off the six axis aim control, but it requires a shake for certain actions. (Heavenly Blade)

@@MrsBlaileen1 No, it just means you may not be able to go co-op. Although there have been developments with RPCN (network that allows for private servers on RPCS3). So if you really want co-op, that may be a viable option if you want to emulate the games on RPCS3.

@@n-tertainmentx-tended4760 Thanks for the info. I would actually be playing single player. Some have said the Steam Deck has some issues with BL on RPCS3, so might just opt for Switch version here. Strangely, the BL games tend to give me motion sickness on console (either the FOV or garish art style?), but hoping playing on 7” screen will lessen the effect. Maybe playing with the FOV would help.

Far Cry 1 i play on rpcs3, cause i couldn't fix a bug on PC where enemy can see through tent and probably through grass. although PS3 has nice gameplay improvement, like inventory wheel, carry heal pack and quick melee

I heard that a mod can fix the issue with enemies seeing through tents. I don't know if it works since I don't own the pc version (although it does give me an idea for a future video). Overall the PS3 version is a heck of a lot of fun.

Gotta recommend Valkyria Chronicles to everyone. But I'm surprised by a lot of these, honestly. - Ghost Recon running? - Gran Turismo 5 & 6 at good speed and not crashing? - Wipeout Fury, God of War 3, Resistance 1&2 at a decent speed? - Mass Effect no obnoxious transparency glitches? - Sly cooper doesn't crash when touching physics objects? Maybe these games just don't like my Ryzen cpus

I have a beefy Intel-based PC, and the gran turismo games are not playable yet.

Lots of great games in there that never got a PC port.

Any advise some some games that don’t want to run or get a message saying to adjust settings and it juts freezes same place every time you run it? I have a Ryzen7 5800x and 32GB Ram and A770 Acer Bifrost Intel arc I’m not sure why some games won’t run smooth or at all

just finished KZ2, the recent build of emu let me play on default setting (any tweaks bugs the game for some reasons, like Rico vanishing and scripts breaking) and played on X360 pad thanks to solution on emu discord that let me pass valve and other motion controler obstacles... KZ3 tho? Similar performance to KZ2, but sound was broken. Maybe in next build?

The secret is to always check on the Wiki pages. For example, most games can run with SPU loop detection enabled. And about 70% can run with SPU Block Size set to mega. That alone will give you about 10 extra frames. And disabling anti-aliasing should boost you another five frames. But there are so many tweaks that checking the wiki pages are crucial.

Ahhh, never mind. Just quickly scrolled through and noticed every game has frame drop and stuttering issues....Personally i wouldn't class that as playable, ran better more than ten years ago and hardware not even half as good. Until they find a viable way of making emulation through software legal, it will never be 100%.

In the advanced tab, have you tried changing RSX FIFO Accuracy to Atomic? And what about Driver Wake-up delay? Does it help if you dial it up to 100?

I need a more powerful PC, i5 8600k and 2070super at the moment to play RPCS3 properly. I reckon in 5 years time RPCS3 will be properly incredible like on the level of pcsx2. Whenever I go to play PS3 games I just use my PS3.

I actually experienced issues with MGS4. When I checked on forums, users said it may have regressed. As for God of War, your gpu will certainly help. But RPCS3 is bottlenecked by your cpu, so only the latest Intel and AMD hardware will offer decent performance. You can still play on older computers, as long as you don't mind frame drops.

Try playing around with the driver wake-up delay under enhanced settings. Set it to 100 and see if that works. Or set the RSX Fifo accuracy to Atomic.

From what I've tested silent hill down pour lollipop chainsaw shadow of the damned and family guy run alright on deck jus lock it might be able run at 60 bit I was trying to get more out the battery 30 fps if that's any help to you

No it won’t it’s only a few games tht will wrk on the deck with ps3 emulation most games are choppy with an extremely loud fan. Might wanna stick to ps2 and below with steam deck unless u kno how to tweak settings for each game.

not recommended to emulate Devil May Cry HD Collection cause it's downgrade compare to superior PS2 version. but you can play DMC3 on switch emulator for free style and bloody palace co-op

The wiki pages are not up to date. The games are playable if you have capable hardware.

Why would you emulate most of these, there are decent ports for PC. Standouts for me seem to be Demon Souls and Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

That's not the point. The point is, people already have a PS3 library ready-to-emulate and would rather not double dip by purchasing the PC Port.

Prince of Persia HD Trilogy on PS3 is trash in many ways. just look at the Dark prince in T2T, he's missing yellow glowing tattoos, also the audio has echo effects

Why are we emulating games that are available EVERYWHERE??? How about focusing on just games that are available on PS3 alone????

@@n-tertainmentx-tended4760 That’s not what I meant. Not just PS3 exclusives, just the games that are not available on PC or backwards compatibility. An example for me is I would LOVE to play Fuse again (I know it wasn’t popular, but I loved it). Games like that. Ones that will be lost to time because they are not available anywhere else.

@@sinancesur8827 Go to configuration - Advanced tab - set RSX FIFO Accuracy to Atomic. Then change the driver wake-up delay to at least 100.

RPCS3 is worthless compared to Xenia though. The XBOX 360 is SO much better optimized. And the PPU compiling every time you open a game in RPCS3 is a big nope for me.
