I accidentally came across this video . Im a diehard RD fan. But also a Nagpurian and fan of Lare Pt.Vasantrao Deshpande. I remember his 'Rang- birangi' number sang for RD Burman.That was my lifetime melodious frame. And today when I saw his 3rd generation singing RD Burmans song. . tears trickled down my face. This sweet and great tune was totally justified by you and I saw it surpassing original rendering. . मस्त. खरंच मजा आली.

Lovely session. Rahuldada, I wanted to hear more about your genuine praise for Amit Kumar. Amitda is a phenomenal singer. Sometimes I even feel in my heart that, wish he was the father of Kishore Kumar (Hasu Nakos dada lol). I feel this way only because all his life his voice was compared with his legendary father. And I find it terrible to read such a comment for a singer like Amit Kumar. I have collected almost all his songs. And I can tell you he is a maestro of film music. Take any genre, he becomes the song. If he was the father of Kishore Kumar, we would have heard tons of songs from his divine vocals. Look at his vocal texture... Despite being so close to his father's voice texture, he paved his own path. Not a joke! He is a legend and that too is less used by music composers. There are so many songs, I always wished in his voice because I am so damn confident he would have taken those songs to altogether a different level.
