Nor me it's almost like what some people would call SJW's I think really seriously speaking I am probably maybe in some respects one of those people he jokes about, but to be really honest I don't define myself as anything so it's all water off a ducks back. Honestly the closest I've got to taking offence to anything (and being bluntly honest about this) I've thought 'oooooh' then i start frantically laughing my head off due to really the extent he takes, take the likes of the Gary Glitter in Thunder Bollocks lol, that show had me in fits all the way through but that was one of the best moments!

I was listening to chubby audio tapes before video was mainstream. When videos came out my parents bought me them for christmas. Words are not offensive. Only the sentiment behind them and Chubby told jokes not insults.

Chubbs brilliant.

While I was a student, I was an extra on his movie 'UFO', and spent an afternoon working with him. I knew about his reputation, so I was prepared to be offended etc. But he was a professional and seemed like a really nice guy.

I've seen chubs at various places over the yrs ,,best and funniest was I got married and on my honeymoon with my new wife,, 12 yrs ago ,, was walking early evening around Torquay harbour and saw a billboard advertising chubs at the Torquay theatre,,, guess were me and the misses went that night ,,, still have never met the man bought all the videos dvds and even cassettes over the yrs ,, maybe one day Hopefully cheers for all the yrs and yrs efforts chubby. People often ask me if I am related to Roy "Chubby" Brown - only connections we have is that we are both called Vasey and we are both from Grangetown - beyond that, the connection ends - my father came from Whitby!

Great interview Alex, that's how it should be, listening and cutting in a the right time - but not doing a hatchet job when you did, too many interviews think themselves to be in a frost/Nixon scenario thesedays.

Totally agree 1 of the funniest comedians I have seen him twice live met him on the m1 service he is completely different of stage and he does charity work the 1st time I saw him was in a film ufo that was really funny since then I have liked him ever since screw the cc pc they are the boring ones no sense of humor

For people who dont find him funny, I understand not every comedian is going to be liked and that’s fine that comes down to opinion and personal preference, however, those who slate him because of his act are ignorant. Now I’m not a fan of Jimmy Carr, however, I would never slate him because he’s respected for his craft by hundreds of thousands, if not, millions of people and he makes those people happy. Who am I to slate him? So, who are these people to slate Roy?

I’ve loved chubby for over 20 years, I know more about chubs than most ppl, he’s incredibly talented, amazing skills, he’ll never get the credit he deserves, Always blasted by ppl as a racist, Chris rock or any other black comedians almost constantly tell jokes about colour, about being black in a white world, it’s ok for black ppl to say jokes about white ppl but as soon as it’s a white guy saying anything it’s the end of the world, it’s bolllox, keep it up chubbs, I will always defend u, and I’ll always buy those videos at Xmas, a truly great mind, and a truly great man!
