You're absolutely right. These days everyone is burned out and we just physically have less attention span and focus, and sadly entertainment caters to that and exacerbates it. "Without Me" blew up the radio when I was in 8th grade and I know every word in it by heart, but if it came out today it would flop because there isn't enough Adderall in the world for the average listener to keep up with it. "Man I don't want all those rhymes in my rap, just give me some candy bars."
