After my retirement after 38 years of sailing as a Marine Engineer Officer at the Dutch Merchant Fleet ,Nora and I have a second life in making music. Since 2008 Nora and I start to make alive the Hawaiian Music in the Netherlands and start the LEI OF EMERALDS HAWAIIAN MUSIC EVENTS. Now in 2014 we have our 6th International Hawaiian Music event. Herewith we play with our amateur band , The EverLite For Hawaiians, again the Royal Hawaiian Hula composed by George de Fretes (23rd Dec 1921 - 19th Nov 1981). For the Dutch people he was the uncrowned King of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar . R.I.P.
