- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 features include Bluetooth connectivity and navigation
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 3 variants - Fireball, Stellar and Supernova
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 vs Thunderbird 350X
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been launched in India today. The Meteor 350 is the first new Royal Enfield bike after the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 which were launched in 2018. The Meteor 350 is the first bike to be based on the new J-platform and features an all-new engine and chassis. The Meteor 350 is offered in three variants - Fireball (Rs 1.75 lakh), Stellar (Rs 1.82 lakh) and the Supernova (Rs 1.91 lakh). The RE Meteor 350 rivals the Jawa Perak, Bajaj Dominar 400 and the new Honda H’ness CB 350.
The Meteor 350 is the replacement for the Thunderbird 350X and is the only Royal Enfield cruiser bike on sale currently. The Meteor 350 also features a new Bluetooth navigation system called Tripper. Powering the Meteor 350 is an all-new 350cc, SOHC, long-stroke and fuel-injected motor producing 20.2PS and 27Nm. And just like the RE Classic 350, it features a 5-speed gearbox.
Aside from the new power plant, the Meteor 350 also debuts a new double-cradle frame. Suspension hardware includes a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers (no sophisticated gas-charged units as seen on the Thunderbird 350X). Stopping power is courtesy disc brakes on either ends and a dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard.

@@zainabkhan2475 yes. From Australia. I rode a Himalayan in Bhutan. Loved it. I want to buy the Meteor when it comes out as a 650 (hopefully soon). Bikes in Australia need to cruise comfortably at 110km per hour because of the freeways. I think the meteor 350 likes 90km per hour as a comfortable speed. Do you think the meteor 650 will come out soon? And do you think it won't be straining at 110km per hour?

RE has definately made improvement compared to its previous 350 cc engine and I appreciate their efforts... Finally we get a less vibration engine and quality has been improved to survive the market! But when compared to Honda CB350, an unexpected competitor for RE, RE has to work a lot hard on refinement and performance! ✌️✌️✌️

Cult fan following of RE is 30+ age group who had already have a RE bikes 🏍. Now RE have to designed their as per their future customers 18+ age group, the current teenager likes bikes 🏍 with retro look with all modern features. But RE right now is focusing on their profit maximising not giving basic features to bikes 🏍. It's 2020 still RE bullet standard doesn't have a fuel gauge while In BS6 model their no fuel nob so that we can adjust petrol from main to reverse. The low fuel ⛽ indicator also doesn't works properly. Meteor 350 has some modern day features likes bluetooth connectivity and navigation system, but it's still misses the refinement, slipper clutch. RE is not company that provide good electrical /electronics so fingers crossed 🤞 for THAT. RE is now behaving like Nokia behaves once upon a time that no one take their market what happened to Nokia everyone knows. These days bikes have superb refinement like jawa, Honda h'ness, benelli but RE is ignoring it and just doing cosmetic upgrades rather than focusing on further development

@@kamleshkumaryadav1274 Totally agree... The old cast iron bullets are something to be preserved and those are historical motorcycles... Wht RE had done in recent years is made a new UCE engine which practically is a crap and survived for years since 2008 if I m not wrong and enjoyed the monopoly using thump and its signature design of classic model... RE 650s are excellent... Awesome machine... would not comment on that... they are worth price wht they offer ✌️

I had stopped watching desi automotive reviews from last couple of years. But sometimes I comeback to watch some of Kartikeya's reviews. Kudos to you mister for keeping the reviews detailed and simple. This was one of the best review which makes me to test drive one, but I still have concerns as the chai test was satisfactory. *(You could've used generic transparent glass cup)*

My take on this: I'd personally prefer owning a Honda, but I'd give some credit to Royal Enfield. They have come a long way since their old vibrating models with subpar build quality. Compared to their previous 350 models, the Meteor sounds promising. But they're gonna get a very tough competition from Honda's product on this one! Haters are going to hate and troll as they always did from the beginning, but As a product coming from India (at least partly), I give RE a thumbs up. Looking forward for a test ride.
