My wife and I were watching this las night. She remarked "ooh they look smart, get these for your bike" I checked the price on Hitchcocks winced a bit but she who must be obeyed (sometimes) persuaded me that I needed them. Oh well it's only money. Can't wait to get these fitted to the bike.

Wow, that’s some coincidence. I literally ordered these mirrors for my soon to arrive Gunmetal Grey Classic 500 last night, probably about an hour or so prior to you sending your video live and then wake up to this video now. Seems like these mirrors were meant to be. Thanks for posting, it’s great to actually see them on the bike. They look great!

Nice job as per always Stu. I know that I will be getting a pair of these for my 650 INT. I just used black plastic plugs and a tiny bit of super glue to blank the old mirror holes on the current bar end mirrors installed now. I'll be moving those to my Himalayan. There was no need to paint and I ended up with a much more flush finish than metal screw plugs. Thanks.

Very informative video, thank you.Ordered mirrors from Hitchcock and thanks to your instructions fitting was easy. The only thing that went wrong was the blanking screws which were over sized and the only way I could fit them was to file the thread off and force the screws into the thread. It worked but took ages to do but couldn’t be bothered to send screws back.Anyway thanks again for the video.Still haven’t ridden bike on road yet, waiting for lockdown to end.

Good Morning :) Thank for all of yours tips and trick - very helpful , and I will definitely check these mirrors up and hopefully I can get them in black to my Black tribute . Although my bike came with touring mirrors and as what I’ve heard they should be a bit better than the standard mirrors , but I’m not satisfied because the don’t cover the right angle and that’s is what’s is all about . So , thanks and wish you a great weekend- to cold in Sweden to ride but soon I guess

I have also used these mirrors for many years, generally, only on British and Italian bikes and only one on the right side, I also fit them underslung therefore missing my elbows, you quickly get used to it there. I currently have one fitted to my 1953 Ariel KH500 Twin and 1973 Laverda 750SF with the intention of one on my 1973 BMW R75/5. They really suit these bikes.

My Triumph has ( Thanks to you ) Brass fuel cap, brass fork stem nut from Motone. Motone turn signals (black) and British Customs stainless chain guard. I also want the brass caps for the front forks you showed us a short time back. I have the Black and Silver Ice paint job with gold pin stripes ( carriage stripes ) so the brass looks great with the gold. Stay healthy and Ride Safe. Bill, from USA.

I've had that brand of bar end mirrors (rectangular shape) on my Bonnie with Thruxton bars for about 10 years now. well made and in that time have covered about 150,000 kilometers with no issue, except for some minor dents on the front caused when hitting bugs, beetles, stones, etc at speed. like the made in england bit for this aussie. to break the loctite seal, heat the allen key on the stove then place it in the screw socket head. heat will then transfer into the threads where the loctite is and soften up. you may need to do this a couple of times for the heat to transfer sufficiently

Those Halcyon bar end mirrors ''made in England'' look much better than any equivalent type sold today for modern Bikes. ie: the modern Triumph range. I personally do not like those, thats why I've stuck with the factory fitted items...Great view of my elbows....Good point about Bar end plugs/weights. My Striple has a very strange system, one that seems to lock one into factory made items..Bloody sneaky!! Thank heavens for CNC.machining.

@@stuartfillingham Gday Unky Stu.. I've just bought a set or bar end mirrors for my bike.. They came with cup fittings that go over the end of the bar (after the end weight is removed). I can't work out how to tighten them properly.. I get the angle right then tighten with a 6mm allen key but one knock the wrong way and they come loose.. I'll keep at it though.. I got one right but the other mirror when set to the same angle and I can't see anything but the ground.. Grr.. Bloody annoying.. Also when riding they take a little to get used to.. With the OEM mirrors you don't have to bob your head.. You just glance down with your eyes.. But with the bar ends its a definite nod down to see anything.. I'm getting used to it, but after riding for 40 years it feels really weird not having mirrors just under my eye line.. They do look the part on the bike though.. And I found two rubber grommets that fit the old holes nicely.. I wish there was a way I could send you a pic of my bike... I've done pretty much all the mods you did.. Except for that engine bash plate.. I bought it, fitted it then removed it as the noise it made was most annoying.. If it wasn't for my stumbling upon your YT page I'd hever have bought Emily... I'm up to 18,400km now.. I'd have clocked up more but was laid up for five months after my bike crash on my other bike... BTW.. Do you still have The Mule?

@@Nadheem721 I have just fitted these bar end mirrors to my Classic 500, and they are WAY better than the stock mirrors, the mirror vibration has been drastically reduced!! The long stalk mirrors have more to flex, ergo more mirror vibration. Get these Halcyon mirrors, they look much better and the quality is extremely good!
