Super helpful. I'm doing a transatlantic crossing on Oasis in October. I specifically booked the ship because I didn't want to get tired of the food (we booked the ultimate dining package) and I didn't want to be bored on sea days (we have 8 of them in a row). Your video made me feel a lot better about the choice of going on a larger vessel. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing going on this ship in 13 days.

This past wkend I was on Royal Caribben- AOS along with fellow Haitians and some some French Speaking African brother and sisters that also debark to Haiti, Labadee. RC just recently renew their contract for 100 yrs yet they don't promote Haitian culture on the boat or even play Haitian Music no where on the ship. They could have at least on the day we debarked on the island. However, they had Dominican music such as Merengue and salsa playing on the ship every single night . Again ,they just want our hard earn money yet providing no entertainment to any francophone country peoples. I'm gonna keep pushing this further until I hear from Royal Caribbean. If we don't complain , they won't do anything about it. This is just a start.

Labadee did have a “ban a pye”/marching band when I was there and had dancers when coming off the ship. Not on the ship (I was also on Oasis). Great point made nonetheless. At least 1-2 songs would have been nice to hear (even if in French) when you spend the day in Haiti.

I agree with you. There were so many Haitian couples on board . I wish they didn't have Latin music every night, if you are not playing Haitian music, just play some francophone music like Zook from Martinique.

Great review to give first timers a hint about the ship. It’s definitely one of my favs. Question was Cafe Promenade not open for late night snacking? They have sandwiches and desserts if you don’t want pizza.

Yay! Cruise vloggers who use the gym that can tell us about it! It's hard to come by. 😅 It's an amenity I want to take advantage of.

Most of the people who rave about it aren't getting the kind of pizza you are used to. They are getting stuff like Dominoes at home. Most of us don't have the brick oven pizza places.

Oasis of the Seas is going to be my first cruise ever this December and since its going to be just me on board (out of my family) and it looks like a great ship to be on. Just I don't think I will be able to shake that neverous felling until after Day 1. Sorry I'm rambling, but I am excited too lol. 7 days here I come lol.

We were just on the Wonder in Sept and being from New Jersey didn’t have high expectations for the pizza - both my husband and I thought it was pretty decent and a great late night snack. The Hawaiian pizza was not good (and we’re picky about it) but the plain, pepperoni or other options were all tasty.

We are sailing on Oasis in October. We sailed her in the Mediterranean in 2019, it was the last cruise before her refurbishment.

I agree about the pizza! But it was pretty quick for us

My family and I just came back from oasis of the seas and we loved the pizza and the place was never crowded.

Great video and thanks for the info. We'll be taking her on a transatlantic cruise this April and we can't hardly because that would be a good amount of time to enjoy and explore the ship. I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are eating but MSC has the BEST pizza. You should watch what other KZreadr say about MSC Pizza.

Cigarette smoking wafting into gym has apparently been a problem on oasis for years as evidenced in cruisecritic complaints back in 2015. That alone will stop me from booking. Took mardi gras cruise this month and hardly smelled smoke all week.

That is so funny about the pizza, because Royal just had a survey with a question on it about what if their pizza had a CHARGE. So then you'd be paying extra for mediocre pizza, like a specialty restaurant. I did think they have a few snack/fast food type offerings on the buffet at night (I could be thinking about another line though).

@Grounded Life Cruises Thanks for the video, guys! I've never sailed RCCL, but the Oasis class ships look incredible. My biggest concern is crowds. We recently sailed on Carnival Vista and it's the biggest ship we've ever been on. While the ship itself is beautiful with good food, good entertainment and a great crew, the congestion in public spaces -- especially the Lido Deck -- was horrible. Lines and crowds everywhere, from early morning until the middle of the evening. I think some of that was because of the ship's design, but after that experience, I'm reluctant to sail on larger ships going forward; even though the amenities look fantastic. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

I was surprised to hear you say that the pizza on Disney is bad. I've been on Fantasy, Wonder, and Magic and the pizza was really good. I've heard that the food on the Dream isn't as good as the other ships, so I guess that must be true. The winner for me as far as onboard pizza, edging out Disney, is NCL (I've only been on Disney, NCL, Carnival and Princess). I'm one who likes to completely unplug on cruises, so internet and tv aren't important, but Oasis looks amazing!

Yes, it really wasn't good pizza, Virgin is the best we think though.

We neon on this ship had no problem with smoke in the gym. We smelt weed someone was smoking in there rooms

Does the Tv in room have KZread or Netflix options? Please share. Thank you so much 🤗

Omg we were on the same cruise. Little kids kept pooping in the pools on the last day a kid threw up

Well I wanna talk about some positive food The breakfast buffet was amazing It wasn't 1 day that I missed that I would give up around 78 o'clock go up to the buffet And then come back and fall back to sleep The buffet breakfast was just great there was so many choices probably 10 or 15 different things you could have it's really hard they had lots and bagels poached eggs scrambled eggs omelet sausage bacon pancakes French toast anything you could imagine Fruits that was fruit It was a great And it made up For some of the bad dinners we had in the dining room

Regarding INTERNET - Do both persons in the room need their own internet package, or can one share their connection (or hot spot etc.)? TIA

Was on Oasis in July. Beautiful ship, 110% booked. Over 7,000 people is too many. Also, enough already with Cats. Nobody under 75 wants to see that. You'll never get that hour of your life back. Move trivia, karaoke, bingo into the main theater because with crowds like that, most venues are too small. Without overbooking and some common sense, this ship and cruise experience could be far more enjoyable

I agree. Cats was the low point of the cruise. Half the audience left at intermission (not exaggerating) I can sum it up "I'm a cat, I'm a cat, I'm a different type of cat, etc)

Yeah we're gonna be there for a buffalo bills game so we have to figure out how to watch it

Did you get the survey asking about if you would pay for pizza or not....that's like nickel and diming you to death.lt's included with the base fare,so keep it that way.

The Oasis Class is one of my favorite class of ships. RC got it right I disagree on the pizza. I think the pizza is better than Carnival, which is awful. The Promenade Cafe has small sandwiches late at night. I have not had the same problem with smoke in the MDR but I'm not very sensitive to smoke smell. The casino on the other hand is smokey even with a smoking and no smoking section.

With the Wi-Fi, can anybody use my login If I share my credentials?

How can you possibly say that Carnival pizza is better than MSC pizza which is constantly voted as the best pizza at sea and Carnival pizza is voted as the worst 😮Maybe you mis spoke ?

If your #1 & #2 favorite things about a cruise ship are its internet & television choices, you might want to consider cruising less often. For the rest of us that only get to cruise once or twice a year, these two things are not nearly as important as the venues, the entertainment, the activities, etc. Sorry, but after suffering through your #1 & #2, I lost al interest in the rest of your opinions & didn't finish your video.
