🇫🇷 Royal Blood, parangons du rock ! On retrouve Mike Kerr et Ben Thatcher pour se laisser submerger par la puissance de l’album Back to the Water Below, paru en 2023.
Les Royal Blood ont beau n’être que deux sur scène, la ferveur de leur rock est digne d’une armada de musiciens. D'un côté, Mike Kerr, chanteur et bassiste, fait rugir sa basse et hurler ses pédales à effets tout en déferlant des paroles poignantes. De l'autre, Ben Thatcher, batteur, s’occupe de tabasser sa grosse caisse.
Royal Blood voit le jour en 2013 à Worthing, en Angleterre. La formation sort très vite un premier single “Out of the Black” : le succès est au rendez-vous. En 2014, les deux acolytes sont nominés pour le “BBC Sound” et assurent les premières parties des Arctic Monkeys au Finsbury Park. Pour l’anecdote, Matt Helders, le batteur des Arctic Monkeys, n’a pas attendu la sortie de “Out of the Black” pour apporter son soutien à Royal Blood et a été l'un des premiers à porter le t-shirt du groupe. C'est encore en 2014 que la formation sort un premier album intitulé Royal Blood.
Dix ans plus tard, Royal Blood continue d’inonder la rockosphère de son groove imparable. Entre hard rock, blues et stoner, c’est donc un duo au sommet de sa gloire que l’on retrouve perché sur la Mainstage du Hellfest !

With a lot of tech and tracks, not a bad thing, very impressive. Check out Zach Person if you want something similar but a bit more rock n roll

since Radiohead? what haha this is the most generic 2 piece shit i’ve ever heard. Death from Above 1979 are way more interesting; and these guys just lifted most of their sound from DfA1979.

Il me semble que des fois ils doivent attendre l'autorisation du label (ou autre) avant de pouvoir rediffuser le live... l'année dernière ça avait bien pris trois semaines pour je ne sais plus qui que je voulais revoir. Moi aussi j'attends avec impatience de pouvoir revivre le concert de Landmvrks qui était juste dingue 🥲

@@vcl7207 não foi uma crítica, só uma observação mesmo. No RiR 2015 e nos shows seguintes quase não há interação/conversa com o público. Se jogar no público é ok. Ainda sim, o show deles é foda 😂😉

either Kerr's vocals are edite in post or he's using some real-time tuning software/hardware, because, unfortunately, this is not how he typically stays in tune

For what it's worth, I was there for the first half of the set (up until Trouble's Coming) and he was solidly in tune the entire time and I usually pick up on this. For example the singer for Babymetal (Su) sang a little sharp for a lot of the set and you can hear it in the live version

@@Alphare33 so maybe he's been working on his vocals lately? I mean, he is definitely able to deliver, but from what I've seen so far, his live performances are not up to par... not to say the vocals he comes up with are easy to sing :D
