I too collect vintage teacups and I too lost my father, daughter, only sibling brother, and mother 🧓in 2009,2010,2012 and 2013 respectively. I am the last person alive in the family. So we have a lot in common, it would seem. I don’t know how long ago you lost your sister, but it always seems to me like yesterday when they all left. Time is the only thing that will make life a bit easier but even time can’t erase the sadness; it can only soften it a bit. Don’t listen to others and their advice on how long you should grieve either. Your sister was YOURS, and only you will decide the course of your grief. I love that Royal Albert Tea cups collection.. I see that on display on the top floor of John Lewis :) there are super beautiful and elegant design

what's the name of the blue/white cup/saucer? it's on the shelf with the moonlight roses and you put the lady carlisle cup in front of it. I like how the blue and white alternates around the cup on the saucer! thank you for sharing! I love royal albert too but unfortunately like a lot of different things LOL

Can someone please tell me is it worth collecting say Royal Doulton or Royal Albert tea cup with matching saucer but not a set just an individual tea cup with matching saucer ?

It really varies, I check almost every week, it seems like the best prices are around Thanksgiving Christmas and New Year’s, and around holidays but sometimes they can have really good sales on certain patterns from RA, two months back they had some really good sales on the old country roses but not the Miranda Kerr. I like it when it’s at least 50% off on sale sometimes they can do 60% off

I use all of my China pieces, I rotate them that way I’m not using the same one over and over. Life is too short to save things only for special occasion. Enjoy everything while you still can.

Stunning collection! I recently bought the Royal Albert pink vintage set and the Polka blue set. Mine doesn't say anywhere that it is Bone China. Does it say on the bottom of the cups in your collection? Is it fake if it doesn't say so?

It should say on the package but I’ve seen so many designs with out any information on the actual product itself. I do know that bone China is super light compared to porcelain. I have a lot of both. Most of the items now a days are made out of porcelain, which is more durable but heavier then bone China.

@@hisforever1359 Yes. But if Macy's states it's china, then it should be china in my opinion. LOL Certain items I have ordered from Macy's, which they state as Bone China, and also says that it ships directly from vendor, doesn't say china on the actual product, which I find strange. Other items I have gotten from Bloomingdales, says bone china on the back of each piece. All from the Wedgwood brand too. Thank you for letting me know though.

It's beautiful but the new Royal Albert now are made in Asia not made in England.

Are all of those antiques?

I love all your teacups from Royal Albert all your China I have some Royal Albert too and I have a miniature one from Royal Albert I just need a replace like eight plates from the original set like the ones with the red and pink and yellow roses I need to get some dinner plates I just need like eight of them cuz I sold eight of them to my sister cuz I needed the money so bad so I need a replace them and I'm sorry about your sister's loss and bought your glasses with your sister because I know that feeling because I lost my husband you know I lost my husband 2 years ago in January to cancer so you feel numb when you lose somebody it's like what they call surreal and it feels like they're still there but they're not but you always carry them in your heart and he used to love to see the house decorated with beautiful things like you're showing in your house and that's what I'm trying to do to my house again right now cuz I let my house go since he died and I'm going to start putting out my little teacups and teapots and stuff like that again cuz I'm spring cleaning so that's what I'm doing right now in my house and I love all your tea stuff it's beautiful I love those teacups from Royal Albert they're beautiful

I’m so sorry for your loss, One of the hardest things to go through in life I think😭 but no one is truly lost when you know where they are♥️ and I’m glad that you are starting to decorate again, it’s very hard to want to continue in this life once you lose a loved one.
