Roy Wood on His Days with Wizzard (1995)
Музыка
Discussing his time with Wizzard, the ex-co-founder of The Move and Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) shares his experiences.
From 1995 to 2002, Channel 4 aired a range of Top 10 shows featuring categories such as Heavy Metal, Country, and Top Disco Songs. During the initial Top 10 episode on Glam Rock on May 8th, 1995, Roy Wood discussed his time with Wizzard. Roy is joined by other music insiders, including David 'Kid' Jensen, Jonathan King, and Mickie Most. We are treated to clips of "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday", Are You Ready To Rock", See My Baby Jive" and a rare performance of "Angel Fingers" from the Russell Harty Plus program. The show was presented by Alan Freeman and Tony Blackburn.

Thanks for uploading this, whoever you are, I'd forgotten there is a very short clip of me on this (at 2.42) and cheers for the plug for my Facebook page :-)

Happy to plug it, Martin. You're the expert. There aren't too many who could beat Roy in a quiz about himself, after all.

We all like Roy Wood......
The Move were such a great band.
As a kid, I was blown away by Wizzard. Saw them at Sheffield City Hall in '74. Very loud but very, very good. Still a fan.
Wizzard were definitely in my top 5 favourite groups of the 70s.
Este artista Roy Wood fue el padre inventor de la famosa banda británica Electric Light Orchestra, Co fundador con Jeff Lynne y Bev Bevan (baterista). Genios!!
Wizzard band is very talented.
What does woody have to do to get the recognition he deserves still the brilliant musician he's always been. Why no gong from the palace
Loved Wizzard , saw them live several time always great live👍
I have the Breakfast Time from Dec 84 when Roy dicussed the papers and his artwork
Kin genius
Great band.
Very good Tony !!
Great to see Alan Freeman and Tony Blackburn at the end of this clip. Was this pairing the inspiration for "Smashie" and "Nicey", or vice versa?
I saw you!
Why are they showing Jonathan King.?.
Hello. Do you have the complete video of 'Angel Fingers' seen here, in HD? It's available on KZread but in very low quality. Thank you.
