I am writing from Switzerland and I remember well the beautiful songs I heard from Roy 50 years ago when skating or Ice hockey playing. In those years a normal family did not afford to buy the disks. Roy Orbison was together with Elvis Presley the absolute superstar from the so far away United States of America. I almost cannot believe that some American friends of Roy are not organizing a memory stone for this outstanding musician with his wonderful voice. Thank you

Roy Orbison should have a monument built in his honour with all of the lyrics of all the songs he wrote on his grave stone that would be a fitting monument to his name and the legend he was.

I was at Westwood Cemetery a few weeks ago, although there is no gravestone for Barbara & Roy, there is an in ground bronze vase between them and someone placed a nice planter of succulents in their graves.

I think that's sad Roy Orbison has no headstone or even a marking and looks like he is put at the back of that crematory. I could be wrong. RIP Roy and thank you for the beautiful songs and talent you made and gave for the world to listen to and enjoy. Love from NZ ❤️💞💚💜💞❤️💙💜💕❤️💚

@pavel6310 Roy and his wife are buried in Pierce Brothers Westwood Cemetery in the Westwood section of west Los Angeles..( near UCLA )..The address is 1218 Glendon Ave...

Yes-he should have a headstone. Such a legend. Even Elvis Presley worshipped him and that's saying something.

He was a pretty humble man, maybe it was his request.

yes i can understand why many people are confused or a little upset why there is no headstone but it had to be his wish to have it like that him being great friends with Elvis probably didn't like the idea of being on display in death. i met roy back in 87 had coffee with him he was a true gentleman. other than it being his wish not to have a marker i think its a outrage not to have one

it is an absolute outright disgrace and an insult that such a legend of all time has no headstone at his grave. thought his sons at least would have seen to that.

Perhaps Roy finally wanted some peace. There have been many occasions where over-the-top fans have vandalized famous peoples headstones, or (as deplorable as it is) tried to dig in the grave. I'm sure Roy just wanted to rest with his wife. There are many places to admire Roy such as all the museums that hold his personal belongings.

@stvoyager Hello, this might be a clue into the mindset of Roy's children..I read recently and cannot remember where,that in an interview in December 2011 when Barbara died one of the sons was asked why there never was a stone put on Roy's grave and he said they never got around to it..I thought that was kind of cold, but that's my opinion only.Because of the secretive nature of the cemetery's office personel, I felt maybe he wasn't really there..I hope this clears things up for us Roy fans.

there is no marker there since my visit on august 5th, 2012 for marilyn's 50th memorial. Trust me, I looked.

@stvoyager My pleasure, I've been curious for years why he wasn't buried in Nashville area with his children, mother and brother..I emailed Barbara Orbison years ago and offered to put a headstone for him but never got a response..That made me curious if such a beloved icon was really buried there.Unfortunately after her untimely death I made it a point to clear this mystery not out of some ghoulish obsession but of respect for Roy.

I believe he requested that for Barbara and himself both after he was traumatized by the theft of Elvis's body

@@vegasrjr I'm sure at the time that Roy did his will this was not something he was thinking about he was thinking about not getting his body stolen wherever it was. It was in his will

I don’t understand why they haven’t gotten him a headstone after all these years. It’s not like they can’t afford it.

I’m more befuddled that Frank Wright Tuttle’s headstone is smashed in.

Nothing is there except for some plant pots I have a picture ill upload it to my youtube channel in a few minutes.

Something is shady - again 🤔
