met roy outside a pub in Edinburgh last summer, he is probs my favourite united player ever even tho I’m a rangers fan. shook his hand, thanked him for being that united leader, didn’t ask for a photo or an autograph nothing, nicest celeb I’ve met, because i just wanted to say hi, treated him as a person, not some statue to take a picture with for instagram, happy to discuss the sport and have some good craic

@@HA-mz8kz yoo reminds me of when i didnt meet the singer of my favourite band after he left them 2 DAYS BEFORE; and i spotted the guitarist and bassist giving an interview about their new project theyd just formed 2 weeks before.. it was in the pub i had hidden in 2 fortnights before during the renovations they were doing. so 2 months later. after inhaling 2-2 1/2 litres of plaster dust (approx 2 trimesters worth), i stunk of stale beer and cigarettes from sleeping on the rank, 2 decade old carpet but itwas worth almost meeting my hero i only missed him by 2 years.. close but no cigar

No, not at all. Famous people need to get over themselves and just give autographs/photos to the public. They want it all. They want the special treatment but also to be left alone in public, screw that. I used to hold a similar view to you until I had my run in with a Famous person. It was at a restaurant and wife and I were already seated and ordered. Manager comes up and asks if we would mind getting up and letting this "Famous" person get our table. He said, you guys will be reseated as soon as a table comes up. I asked, how long of a wait he said, no more than 30 minutes. I declined because we already waited 35 minutes to get a table and it was our anniversary. Turns out I didn't have a choice and it got rough. then the person/his entourage had the gall to talk shit. So no, this dude doesn't deserve to just go about his day as a normal person because I guarantee when he gets the normal person treatment he will not accept it
