I heard Roy Haynes live to a jamsession in Paris. He happened to be there with Jackie Mclean , a fantastic night.

I forgot to say it was in La Zigall where at that time a New Yorker quartet used to play and that night they got their hands full.

That is a classic album cover!
Roy's drumming is outstanding on the whole recording. They let him stretch out a-plenty, must've realized how ON he was. There have to be 1,001 drum lessons on this LP!
I'm learning Tommy's solo. So many beautiful phrases!
