Really Mrs. Coko, you were in this video? WOW !!!! How cool. I really get a little emotional with nostalgic when I see this video of you and the other girls. I remember how the girts dressed in this fashion. I remember the dancing. And most of all I remember being 40 pounds lighter (LOL). I wish many times to go back to these days and see us all again when we were young.

What I do remember is it was a scrapyard in London somewhere, next to a major bridge.
One of the coldest joints she's ever made!!!! They don't do it like this anymore. 💃
"Put you on a table with a plate and cup, say grace...and the eat ya ass up!" Brilliant...growing up Shante was awesome. For me...her and Mc.Lyte are the two best female MC's ever.
This is one of the dopest tracks of all time.true hip hop ✌️✌️
the Queen of rap, the Queen of hip-hop, Roxanne Shante , the best battle raper in history of rap music.
Thirty years later and this song is still the shit. Man did I love dropping this one into the mix on my 1200s.
I bought this tape back in '88. was blown away. and to find out how young she was made it better. she is without a doubt a legend

A masterpiece
Had this 45 in 1988/89. Manning SC. just listening to records that day at "Music Corner"...I said wow! almost the same beat as Rob Base (it takes two)...didn't realize that they were just break beats from the same James Brown sample...just different deliveries. LOL
She brought the fire, and spit like a dragon.
Just busted a 90’s style dance move on this joint!🎧💃🏽
Fuck...why didn't I grow up in the 90s? It bred the most coolest, prettiest girls on the face of this planet. No homo.

As we go clubbin me and my peoples we be lookin and we be buggin Off these ladies talkin bout no dancefloor rubbin Til we supply em with at least two or threee mixed drinks from the bar They must be out they mind, them rookies get dismissed Cause it ain't hard to find, the ladies that can move it To the latest bassline, attached to the drum That'll set it off and make the local DJ a star But can I get a boost from the bass and the treble? This record ain't for soothin but for raisin blood levels We simply havin fun but know that some don't like the music That it promotes rappin and global gun clappin But still promoters packin in the clubs where Im at Plues everywhere i go so just realize the fact That we won't be denied that respect you try to hide Shit, this ain't rock and roll Cause the rap is in control
