Dear user I recently bought a white 1968 2000SC with 86.000 km, a car of a person in italian embassy, little used (in 2008 this car had only 36.000 km), in the road I hear an annoying hissing when I drive in 2nd and 3rd gear, in 4th gear this hissing disappears. Is this normal in your opinion? sorry for my english

Have you checked if there are any snakes in the engine compartment?

Hmmmm... My 74 3500 doesn't have that stainless trim around the Webasto.. I knew there was something missing!!

The roof isn't a Webasto, it;s another make, but without going to look, I cannot remember the name of the manufacturer.

Alright, perhaps I will have to track down another company that makes sun roofs in the same style, preferably with stainless trim (and more importantly that doesn't get drops of water coming through in the car wash) ;) Still a very nice car though - I'm sure its a lot nicer to drive around town than my 3500, and probably no where near as thirsty.. Amazing that it got me all the way from London to York for less than £50, but around town you can spend that in just 30 miles.. Still cheaper than the train :P - though I'm considering buying yet another P6 with a smaller engine.. I hear the TC with its restricted 2" SUs and branch manifold are the way to go ;)

MrClassiccarenthusia The TC engine has a unique cylinder head design compared to the SC engine. The HS8's aren't restricted, which makes them a little big for the 2000 engine. However the HIF6's fitted to the 2200TC make for a good compromise and give better mid range performance than the HS8's.

Steven Dibdin Its a Britax sunroof not a webasto. Webasto's don't have the trim
