Our Lapland, Finland journey takes us to Rovaniemi city where we walked the town to give you a night tour during the Christmas season. After arriving in this beautiful city, we knew we wanted to explore as much as possible in our limited time here. The hotel we were staying was in the perfect location to walk to the best spots in the downtown area. The amazing Christmas lights filled the streets and we wanted to take pictures and videos of all of them.
Rovaniemi during Christmas is hard to beat. The way they decorate the town feels so magical with new sights to see at every turn. No wonder this is a very popular place to visit in December, event hough the temperatures are below freezing cold. If you can brave the cold, this town is a must-see at some point in your life. Great Lapland is getting visitors again☃You may have noticed there are no old historic buildings in town, the reason is WW2, it was burnt 100% down by the Germans. But the town rose like a snow fenix :)

I once commented that Sweden don’t eat pizza with their bare hands, we use knife and fork. Apparently I was wrong. I am old 😉
Rovaniemi looks downright dreamy, you guys! The uncut pizza in Europe really threw us for a loop, too 😂 Awesome video!

We were so confused about the uncut pizza. Now we cut it ourselves and still eat with our hands lol

It's quite common in Finland to eat pizza with a fork and a knife, which is why pizza is not always precut in the restaurants. I have always eaten them with the aid of the utensils, so I might not have even paid attention to any lack of precutting.

Haha yes, we were not prepared for that. In the United States, our pizza is always precut and we eat it with our hands, but we understand now

Next time just tell you want it cut. Sometimes they ask if you want it cut, sometimes they don’t. It is not completely unusal to eat your pizza the American way.

"Italian restaurant" 😏 It is a chain restaurant, kind of a local version of Olive Garden. Let's just say that the relationship between Rosso and anything 'Italian' is... complicated.

Cool staff! Actually, the most effective way to keep the blood flowing and stay warm(ish) is to lift your shoulders up to your ears and back. If it's like -20 you should do that while walking. When I had to wait for a bus going to a stable back in the day I would stretch all my joints - does pretty much the same thing. Aren't you guys from Canada anyhow?😄

Hello, the toilet and bedroom are small, but there is a buffet breakfast prepared by the hotel. I am hesitant to visit this hotel. How is the buffet breakfast? 1/10? or 5/10? or 10/10? Thank you very much.

Nice, but one thing to note we in most of Europe use knife and fork also for eating pizza. On the whole only the Americans eat with their fingers everything and everywhere. (to explain why that pizza was not cut up).
