Got question for you. I live in Indonesia and recently got into rc cars. I got 1/10 WLtoys brushed buggy, HSP brushless buggy and sort course truck, all good fun. Partially watching you and others I am getting the gas bug. I have good mechanical skills (ex engineer now flying for living). I was considering VRX short course truck or the blue buggy V2, which seems to have better components. Getting nitro fuel and parts here is kind of pain. So now I am looking at this Rovan buggy, I like the 2cycle engine, pre mix...... I drive like an old man (51) and I need not to brake shit as it is hard to get parts this Rovan might be the way to go. I think the long wheel base would be a better choice, more stable, don't actually want to do wheelies and such. I like the tank up front, bit more weight on front wheels, better steering???? Any input will be appreciated. If you could put a short list of must have parts upgrades that would be great. What physical and mah battery pack do I need? Thx in advance.

What's your opinion on the shorty Q Baja and the standard 5B chassis what one do you think is best to start with for a beginner with 5th scale RC gas that is I just got into Nitro and I know Nitro which definitely has its frustrations which I'm dealing with now I've only had my volcano s30 Redcat Nitro for less than a month and I already have the engine off of it trying to see if the connecting rod has been bent during pull start my one way bearing casing cracked and only put a scuff on my connecting rod but I'm having trouble getting it started I have fuel good fuel and good glow plugs and I even have the same Dynamite glow plug igniter as you the Lipo which works well but I haven't gotten the vehicle started since I replace the one way bearing what is your suggestion on the two different Roven gas RCs should I get the mini or regular size chassis as a starter I just want a RC with a real combustion engine on it to drive around while I slowly get used to the difficulties of nitro I'm not giving up on Nitro I just want to take my time to get used to it I've only had it a month or less sorry for the long comment

hey dude! I highly recommend you get the basic BAJA, not the shorty. other than preference to the aesthetics there is no advantage to the shorty at all, it's actually more expensive, slower, harder to drive at speeds and more specialized. I started with a ROVAN BAJA 30CC model, that's what you need. IF you're 100% into wheelies, then the shorty is for you, personally I don't care about wheelies at all. I prefer solid straight line handling and symmetry down the line with a planted feel. You know.
