I choose to believe the thumbs up and down are too close to each other and some people accidentally click the wrong one. 😁 thanks!
Another great video, thank you! Ignore the whack job, please keep the outstanding content coming. Really appreciate you and your work, thank you so much once again.

Good explanations I have the full size kreg router table setup from woodcraft and I love it! SO MANY different uses for it.every shop should have one rather bench top or stationary cuz there Have been plenty of times where in we did one and was glad I had 1

Most of my shop time I've had some variety of router table. It just adds so much more versatility. Plus they're so dang fast, and so much safer (most the time).

@@YouCanMakeThisToo totally agree.
Well done, Caleb. Lots of info, as always. I also like a router table because the router has a far less chance of ever leaving my hold and flying through the air to mame and destroy.

No joke! The router is the only tool that still gets me on edge every time I use it. Thanks Darin!

Finally! Thanks for the video. Executed perfectly. Hope the guy below or troll feels better soon. But seriously I’ve needed a video explaining why you need a router table.

I feel you, it happens. I hope he's doing alright too. And thanks for the feedback! I get these weird video ideas sometimes and they make sense to me, but then sometimes I wonder if it's really helpful or not. I'm glad to hear this was. Definitely encourages more to put more like this together.
Lots of great information to know. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

I've been looking a bunch at making a router table and I've decided that unless i get into making my own trim or shaker style cabinet doors its not necessary for me. I work out of a garage so space comes at a premium. just my $.02

I’ve only done a few projects where it was really needed. Like almost everything, really comes down to what you make and how you like to work. I will say if you hatch a lot of small stuff, it’s amazing for doing chamfers and round overs really fast with good dust collection. But reality is I haven’t used mine in a few years.
You're making me want to make a router table now. I have not been to keen on them...think they're overhyped. I can definitely see they have their place though.

That’s not much they can do that you CANT do with something else... but I’m not a big fan of routers, so I’m more likely to use it in a table.
Nice setup

There are barely any wood working shops where I live so I have to make most of my machines. I cant tell if I should order like expensive accessories for my table or make my own for example using a small car jack as a router lift

That's up to you. I'm not close to much either so everything I have comes from ordering or road trips.

@@YouCanMakeThisToo yea cant wait to get a router lift so I can make a router table. Will allow me to do a lot of stuff.
Yes you missed something important. Beer looks very cool on machines. My top 2 are: beer on router table and beer on table saw. Just tastes better

They are handy to have if you have the space!
The link you provided in the description (for your router) no longer works.
Any chance of seeing a video showing the lathe stand in the back?

Unfortunately I don’t have a video on it and don’t have that lathe or stand anymore.

It's a "fence," also the thing I was pointing at.
If you're going to use Walnut to spruce something up... why didn't you just use Spruce? XD

0:41 This definition makes a vice a machine and a pickup truck a tool.
@YouCanMakeThisToo

Except neither the vice nor the truck are doing work to the material, it's way out of context. I'm happy to hear a better delineation between "woodworking tools" and "woodworking machines" if you've got one though. I just thought it'd be handy to provide a definition so when I say "tool" or "machine" the nuance of my thoughts are properly conveyed, regardless of whether those definitions are universally accepted.. it's just a communication tool for the purposes of my videos.
