    Nicely done John 😁👍. Looks like it will do the job perfectly. If only I had 4ft of wall space left in my shop 🙁. You can see in my shop tour that I have used every inch of wall space. But I may invest in the Triton to replace my old unit. Keep up the great vids 😁👍.

    Awesome job. The only improvement I could suggest is a shallow bevel on the bottom edge of the fence to prevent any build up of chips and debris from effecting the work. That would allow the work to make better contact with the fence. Cheers Mate.

    John. That triton router seems the answer for a router table - easy to remove, change bits from above and most importantly easy vertical adjustment. I have an old set up with a scissor jack to lift the router ok but very clumsy. Your router table set up is awesome - great job. Only issue I can see is lack of a fence system over spinning bit I am a member of a Men’s She’d and the triton router must be our next purchase Keep up the great work

    A good design, does what it needs to without over complicating matters. I'm currently looking at the Triton. Would you recommend the 1400W or it's big brother? I also like the look of the Sauter shop stuff but probably outside my budget range!

    Great video John (along with your other videos I've seen to date). Wish I had seen it before I went out and bought a router. I got the Hikoki MV12e which doesn't seem to be suitable for this type of project as it's a straight forward plunge router without dialable height adjustment. Just wondering if my choices are to spend €€€ on a generic router table or upgrade to the Triton? Any thoughts?

    Just found your channel a few days ago John and I'm glad I did. I've just had to downsize my workshop from a double garage to a single garage due to a house move so I'm having to be a bit imaginative with the use of space along with keeping an eye on cost. So keep the videos coming mate!

    Hi john. I have made this for my triton router but the round over bit does not seem to want to show itself above the plywood as the router wants to lock out the switch with spindle lock. How to you get your do do it? Do you leave the bit out further from the collett?

  • @JohnMcGrathManInShed

    @JohnMcGrathManInShed

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yeah I leave it stick out from the collet but ensuring it's held securely and I have some long shaft bits. I also remove the plastic base from the router which gives you an extra 6mm.

    Hi John, great idea with the router plate mounting. Does it take much height away from the bit changing height above the table? Could the router be mounted directly under the table and screwed from above to give that little extra height? Finally are the short screws that are securing the mounting plate still holding up with the weight of the router? New subscriber now to your channel 👍

  • @JohnMcGrathManInShed

    @JohnMcGrathManInShed

    4 жыл бұрын

    It takes a little bit of height away you won't get the full extension through the table but you will get all the bit through. you can mount the router directly but you lose the quick release option then and the screw are holding fine no issues.
