Keeping the Kentish theme going with a slew of Stagecoach videos, after a Scania interlude, we now move onto the first of a pair of Tridents, both ex-Mancunians, so first of all we have 19058, MX56FSJ.
19058 was new in 2006 as part of a batch of 50 MX56-reg Enviro400s delivered new to Stagecoach Manchester to their Stockport garage, by 2014 some of the batch were sent South to Kent, at their garage at Thanet, near Westwood Cross, but were loaned briefly to Hastings for use on rail strike and airshow shuttle work.
Today's titular Trident turns our attention to route 34, which runs from Ramsgate, Leopold Street to Minnis Bay, Canute Road via St Lawrence, Newington, Westwood Cross, Wealdhurst Park, QEQM Hospital, Margate, Westgate-on-Sea & Birchington-on-Sea. Though this was filmed end of May, and the route has since been truncated from Minnis Bay back to Margate.
19058 is powered by a Euro 3 Cummins ISC8.3 engine coupled to a Voith DIWA D854.4 4-speed automatic gearbox. So hope you enjoy this particular combination, and the first of a fast pair of E400s.
