No that's not true at all. Stylistic advantages, game plans, and corners all come into play when 2 fighters meet. Most think Ali lost 2 out of three to Norton but does that mean Norton was the better fighter? Hell no. Ronda had 6 title defenses. Holm didn't even have one. More importantly, Ronda ragdolled Tate in two fights and dominated her, while Holm was manhandled, wrestlefucked, and choked half to death. Ronda knocked out Bethe Correia in about 34 seconds, while Holm needed three rounds, was down on the cards of all three judges, and was so timid, she was warned by the ref for stinking up the joint. Again Holm may have won but Ronda was undoubtedly the better fighter, and their's absolutely no room for debate.

@@user-ct4mw5yw4g Joanna, from what I can tell is a bit of an arm puncher and isn't terribly rooted to the ground when she throws punches. That's probably why she isn't knocking people out. There are plenty of other fighters her weight that do a better job of knocking people out, so it's got nothing to do with her weighing 115.

  • @user-ct4mw5yw4g

@@JustSomeGuy69420 This comment thread is a year old, but sure. There's no one single factor for Joanna not being a knockout artist. She's 115/125lbs, there's just not a lot of weight behind her strikes. A big part of her gameplan is footwork, she can't be too grounded when she throws or she's going to get hit. She's a former IFMA champion so she learnt striking with much heavier gloves than are standard in MMA. Her technique is volume striking rather than bigger, more powerful shots (which has changed since her transition to MMA. If you look at her old Muay Thai fights she's a much more powerful striker, it just doesn't transition too well when your opponents are all black belts in BJJ).

Such a satisfying knockout. Ronda’s last few years in the sport was unbearable. Her head had gotten so big! Her attitude was so nasty. That’s why she disappeared the way she did. When she got humbled, she knew her attitude had been out of control and she didn’t want to answer for it. She didn’t want to face the questions about it. Nor did she want to face questions of whether she was just a one-trick pony. She went out like a coward…as most bullies do.

Holms experience in a boxing ring up until this fight was insane and overall experience is not something to overlook. (38 boxing matches, 3 kickboxing matches and 9 MMA fights.) It makes sense now looking back with her quicker and quicker finishes, her unbeaten streak and her crossing over to tonnes of different mediums like films, talk-shows etc. But when you think of someone like McGregor who was on at the same time and a much better presence and trash talker (and I think before she really got the ego, that Ronda was cool and had good charisma herself, just nothing on McGregor's level), also doing all kinds of media, it's pretty crazy.

Ronda may have had the biggest, yet most fragile ego in sports history, and Holly shattered it. She woke up that night and that arrogance that was masquerading as confidence was gone. You could see in the fight against Nunes that she no longer had any genuine belief in herself. She went to professional wrestling, but couldn't cut it there because she's a terrible actor. And now she's going to try and be a gaming streamer. It's quite a fall. By far my favorite part of this whole story though is how every fighter that went and trained with Tarverdyan completely derailed their career and washed out of the UFC. Ronda basically took a bunch of fighters down with her lol.

Even her acting career hasn't been a major highlight either. In fact, in one of appearances, they had to edited her screen time down because she can't act. Even Gina's acting is far more deserving than Ronda's.

@@charlestonw801st I was very disappointed and annoyed that Ronda was casted as the voice of Sonya Blade in MK11, instead of the prior VA in MK10. So I caught UFC for the first time by accident, it was Bonnar v Griffin. I was a fan for few years, stepped away and got invited out for this fight. NO IDEA who Rousey was, and I was saying to my friends, "White trunks is boxin' her up!" They doubted Holm would win after that 1st round, then that head kick sent the place crazy. Been a dedicated fan since.
