Very adorable theming and engagement with the cast members!! Appreciate the honest review. Definitely a bummer the food isn't anything special, but hopefully they make improvements after initial feedback. Other table service restaurants at HS are so iconic and offer delicious options that it would be difficult to justify dining here unless they bring in characters--which they definitely should given how popular Toy Story is!

We're big fans of Hollywood Studios line up of eats and agree that there need to be some tweaks here. The pickles definitely need a sauce and our batch of BBQ just felt kind of bland. The sides were fun though. Biscuits were the best in my opinion. I feel like characters have to come here. It really would bring the restaurant together and we actually missed filming a few show scenes that feel like they were made for character interactions. It actually felt awkward without characters at certain points during the show scenes. I feel like we may get them in time. Either way, the atmosphere and cast members were on point and I wasn't disappointed for what I got for the price.

Awesome you got to go on opening day. I love how cute it is in there. We have reservations here in May and we are excited to go to a new restaurant. The theming is a lot of fun. Love that you got the Slinky Dooooog Mac in honor of Frank! So sweet. I do love the GIANT pencil at the end haha. It is nice that they even themed the ceiling, you're right that part often gets forgotten lol. I'm excited to try the food for sure, but I agree with Regal Eagle on property and Polite Pig there is tough BBQ competition haha! Love how everyone freezes for Andy haha. Awesome video you guys! We felt very lucky to be able to go on opening day. It is SO cute, they really nailed the theming and the cast members really make the experience. Had to support our boy Frank! It's a very immersive environment, but probably my least favorite BBQ on property. Thanks SO much for watching :)

This looks like such a fun atmosphere to Eat in. And I love some good old fashion barbecue. So I think combining the two is a plus in my book. Having you go to your table riding a stick horse looks so much fun.

The atmosphere is the star here in my opinion. The food was okay but it's hard to compete with all the other BBQ on Disney property in my opinion. The horse was a fun touch!

Exactly, we loved the atmosphere. I grew up on Toy Story and I could see how happy all the kids were. If they bring characters in here I think it'd really bring it together. Nothing I'd go out of my way for food wise though. Brown Derby is still my go-to Hollywood Studios restaurant.

04:59 Brios! 😁 I was a master of Brio Trainsets as a kid, spent hours at a time building expansive layouts of track and props for my Thomas-themed train collection; literally a staple of my childhood. Glad to see that the same goes for Andy! The mac and cheese looked on point, and the sausage literally _did_ look like a snake! What an incredible restaurant with theming on point. When this was being constructed, we were under the impression that it was going to be another quick service location for the land. Exciting to see that it's actually another sit-down dining location, and that DHS is continuing to expand its inventory of themed dining! I will say, though, that you really only get value out of the 'all you care to enjoy' type meals if you're able to consume 6,000 calories per day 😂 We'd pay just for the themed experience! Although, agree that it definitely needs the character meal, and ranch dressing, too! Great video, guys!

Yes! I had those too but my adult brain rid itself of the name 😆. The restaurant's theming is incredible but I think the food was inconsistent. We watched other vlogs and felt other tables might have had better cuts of meat. This is still worth it for the atmosphere. Although there is definitely better and more up-scale dining to be found at Hollywood Studios. That isn't this though and it shouldn't be. The Toy Story fan in me loved it and there were some hits with the cuisine. I need my ranch though man. Thank you 😃.

We have been so looking forward to your review of this place!!! We scored a reservation here for mid April so we have been so excited to see how it looks 🙌 Your review was amazing and we so appreciated how much of the details you showed outside and inside of the restaurant. There is so much theming and it really does seem to fit nicely right in Toy Story Land 😊 it does look pretty big inside too! We do hope that they eventually add characters because it definitely seems like it would add to the overall experience, especially with the whole Andy’s Coming thing! If the toys and characters had regular little interactions or shows like that it could be a top tier character experience 🌟 Always appreciate an honest review - the biscuits are honestly one of the things we’re most excited for so it’s good to hear that those at least were pretty solid 😅 we aren’t expecting anything knock out for the bbq food, but it does definitely look like it will be filling at a solid price point for Disney food, and we’re always up for a new fun experience in any case! 👻 We were hoping the slinky dog Mac n cheese would be better too, but it does still look fun with the crumbled goldfish on top! Regal eagle has still been some of the better bbq we’ve had in Disney world, but we’re usually satisfied after a nice barbecue meal either way so hopefully this will hit the spot on a long Hollywood studios day! The desserts look pretty tasty too, even though they do look pretty small. We will definitely be having some of the cocktails too - I’ve got my eye on the Pb&J cocktail! 🥜 Amazing video as always! Super thorough and honest. We can’t wait to try this place in a few weeks!

We heard real positive things about the PB&J Cocktail 😃. The atmosphere and theme here are the star. Unfortunately, the BBQ left something to be desired on our end but I don't think you'll be disappointed at all with the biscuits or Slinky Dog Mac. If you've ever been to Garden Grill, the Mac here is very similar. Desserts were pretty solid too. In my opinion, characters would bring everything together here. The show scenes feel kind of lost without them. Although, the Cast Members are amazing and really do their part to make you feel immersed in the theme. The Andy's Coming segment is a lot of fun. All in all, there's definitely better BBQ in Disney but if you're a Toy Story fan I can't see being disappointed at all by the experience. I'm happy we went. It was a lot of fun and wish I could bring my little sisters who are huge Toy Story fans. Hope you guys have a blast and to hear your take when you stop by in April 🎆.

@@ThemeParkFoodies update - we tried it and can totally agree with everything you said! Overall we enjoyed dining here, but it just felt like there should be more and it was a bit lackluster for the price. If they ever add characters we would probably go back, but I’ve honestly had just as good of a BBQ meal at flame tree and regal eagle for a fraction of the price. The atmosphere was fun though and I can definitely see how it would appeal a lot to kids - but it sure would end up being pricy for a full family to go 😂 Your reviews are always spot on.

Theming and decor is so adorable ! Great review! Bummer the food wasn’t worth the price, I wish they would’ve made it less expensive or not all you care to enjoy! Looks cute but I wouldn’t be a fan of all the meats, I just want sides lol I’m from NC where we have amazing Carolina BBQ so I think I would be too critical of their food!

We've definitely had better BBQ elsewhere and on Disney property. The biscuits and sides were the highlight food wise. I do think it'd be worth it for the atmosphere. Especially if they added characters. Nothing we ate was bad but only the biscuits and maybe the spuds stuck out. The decor and atmosphere slapped though. I can't see this being on that NC BBQ level. Thank you 😃

Have you guys done a review at Sci Fi? I have reservations at both places, and after this video (and many others) I'm not sold on Roundup Rodeo lol. Also the no taking left overs especially when it was the first round of food is whack - I bring ziplocks and don't ask 😂

We dined their before we were vlogging, during our first visit ever as a couple in 2017. To us, we enjoy Sci-Fi more. The food and burgers are okay but it's the retro atmosphere that we love. The Roundup Rodeo food is so-so in our opinion. Sides are okay and biscuits were great but atmosphere is the star here. If you're a Toy Story fan I'd say it's a must-do for the experience but I wouldn't recommend coming for the food. Ziplock bags will be on hand for us next trip 😆.

Are tater tots considered vegatarian at Backyard BBQ? I mean your eating Mr.Potato head!!!! lol thats traumatizing.
