Rounded bolt and seized lug nuts - best removal tools and technique
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I tried everything to remove seized lug nuts on my 2008 Jeep Compass - heat, penetrating oil, impact tools, breaker bars, etc. These special "impact bolt remover sockets" are the tools you need - available at any automotive tools supplier including Amazon. Jeep (Chrysler, Mopar) lug nuts with the chrome caps are the worst! This technique is the best way to get off rounded bolts or seized lug nuts from any car, truck or SUV. Remember to add a dab of "Neverseize" to your lug studs to prevent the lug nuts from seizing in place.

You can put a paper gasket. On the stud bolt befor. Tighten down lug nut. It keeps from the lug nut from seasoning up. Keeps the rust separated. Fro the wheel. And lug nut
I had to start from the right side and push. No Way could I sit in my knees. I had a 18in breaker and a pole. I still have one stripped lug to get off it sucks
Where did you purchase the special sockets?

Hi Daniel, pretty much any tool store will have them (Harbor Freight is always a good choice for DIY tools)
what if after soft metal came off then the lug nut is still on but also is stripped.

Use the same bolt remover sockets for the core lug nut as well, only you meay need to go down a size.

@@jefferson88888 Ya just banged a small socket on and it worked out. Too bad those bolt extractors dont come in deep socket or am i wrong? Seems like car with hubcaps they dont rwach all the way in. Also seems one lug nut was cross threaded on, no way a experienced mechanic made that mistake! Thx for help and take care
And it's 2023 btw
You don't the hard way it seems
