Six Jazz legends gather at the Catalina Jazz club to discuss the style and personality of Miles Davis. We filmed this as research for the 2015 film, Miles Ahead, but the conversation turned out to be so compelling, we decided to release it as a standalone documentary. Thirteen years after shooting it, we are pleased to present a fascinating glimpse into America’s one true art form - jazz. While the conversation centers around Miles Davis, you get a rare insight into the genre through the eyes of six of its greatest practioners.

It's worth mentioning that talking about mood of "Kind of Blue" and right way and right people to play it, Bill Evans is never mentioned by this distinguished group of Black musicians, yet the whole concept of "Kind of Blue" came from him and, at the time, he was one the few musicians able to play modal jazz and was one of the originators of that style.
