To be honest. I've replayed this video when I was in rehab, my addiction was my stupidity to love a narcissist and recover from believing he cared and turning to alcohol to numb my shame as a indigenous single mom . This song has gave me strength to realize that my own kids can take my hands and help me run away from the hurt and pain that HE, has done wrong to my kids and myself. Recovering Indigenous Female Alcoholic. Pray for me and those whom need your prayers. Good song and keep making music.

Hoka Hey!!! Mamacita that you left that LIFE. So many of our people are waking up and seeing that LIFE for our people ain't for us. So sad though so many have fallen to that's addiction I too was a user of the opid Perk's. Glad it's over anything I DIDINT care for . My mother is also a single mother and an alcoholic. She's still battling with her addiction. But I'm so proud of you 👏you are strong and if one Native woman is sober and successful we all win. Prayers for continued strength and healing for you and your family ❤

My favorite song. Didn't really listen to the lyrics till my son's dad & I started having problems in our relationship. Then I really listened to the words. Then it hit me explaining everything I was going through. Whenever I'm having a hard time I listen to this song. & Get up outta my feelers

As a parent, this hits hard to us, we are making sure our next gen is taking care of and not just looked at as a trophy. Cherish them in the moment and don’t look at them as the past but as the moment you share with them.

Sounds good,, i have learned a few lakota words,,, but, not everything i understand,??? Have learned late in life,, this is my great grandfathers language,, my grandfather did not get to learn in indian boarding orphanage school,??! My mother just told me enough to figure it out in the last 6 months or so,,,every year or so she would tell me same story over,, about my grandfather,, sha mever came out and just said, "someone came and kidnapped ypir grandfather,, put in indian boarding school,, he never saw his parents again,?!! All the sudden,,that all just came to me,,,?! Last 6 months or year,, i just turned 72,, i remember waking in middle of the night, with the night mares,, mom and dad would stand there, till i went back to bed,,it is still the same,, i wake up at night, worrying someone is coming too get me,, take me away somewhere,,!!? It never goes away,,,!!!? Did i volunteer too much information??? "Pleasant dreams" other thing my grandma would say,, she was adopted too,!!!?
