Round Cordwood outhouse

Cordwood seemed an obvious choice to apply, as we have plenty of left over cut-off wood, sawdust from cutting the wood for the house, and sand from digging the well. This means that most of the building materials were already there. In fact, we only bought a bag of lime and a bag of Portland cement. Sand, sawdust, lime and cement together make the mortar suitable for the cordwood technique. It is perfect to use for round structures, as is planned for this outhouse (outdoor toilet). The video on the whole toilet from start (bushes) to finish will follow when it is all completed. For now, a little glimpse of my initial attempt with using cordwood. So far, it seems to work very well. Note, I'm no expert and this is no tutorial - only a description of what I did (time will tell whether it holds up!).
