The rule my old driller taught me. Learn to be consistent and steady...then the speed and efficiency will fall right into place. Here’s a damn good example of it. A driller is only as good as his crew....and they’re working in sync ✊🏾✊🏾

Yes! I like the way the chain and tong hand look up before latching tong to stump. Blocks clear to not be fouled by tong line. Well oiled and synchronized.

Yeah but 3 wraps is easy try doing 7 or 8 on 51/2 inch on a triple I throw chain, after throwing it to the top tool joint, I give it a tiny bit of slack for a split second to let the wraps all slide down on top of the tool joint. With the driller knowing my technique of course. Less chance of bent pipe I guess. Great work boys, smooth as silk, the guy catching and stabbing doing a good job, only missed 1. Hello from the Australian oil field. 🤘🇭🇲

The crew is spot on. The guy on the left is the driller and is responsible for the crew's safety. The guy in the middle is the motor hand or chain hand while tripping back in the hole and the guy on the right is the fireman or floor hand, also called the worm. that was my position on the rigs I worked on. Every crew should work this fast without even breaking a sweat.
