Rough Country 2.5 inch Leveling Kit - 2015 Ram 1500

Ойын-сауық

Hey guys! Come help me out while I install a 2.5 inch Rough Country Leveling Kit on my 2015 Ram 1500. This kit fits 2012 to 2018 Ram 1500's. It actually went together pretty easily compared to things that i've worked on in the past. Hope this video can help someone else out who is thinking of installing one on their truck. Thanks for watching!

Great job. I know the feeling on working on vehicles. It also takes me twice as long, but I'm not a fan of working on vehicles. Only if I have to. ✌️

Out of curiosity how is it holding up so far ? I'm considering doing this upgrade from stock i have read comments on other YT about RC 2" and 2.5" kits make the front about 1" taller than the rear did yours do this if so did it settle down after awhile also did you have to put a RC upper control arm on

Hey brother, thanks for checking out the video!! So I've had no problems our of the leveling kit and the truck runs and drives just like stock so no effect there. The truck sits perfectly level and wasn't an inch higher or anything like that and it hasn't settled or sagged back down in any way. I've used the same product in an older dodge I had in the past and drove it for years and never had any problems out if it either. If your gonna level the truck out this is probably the best bang for your buck and pretty straight forward install. No need for new control arms, I kept everything stock. Just be sure that when you compress those springs that you put some kind of strap around it just in case it comes flying off of there. I hope this helps bud! If you need anything else give me a hollar! Thanks for watching and take care!!

Great video. I'm about to start my truck this week and I just figured to watch some videos first just to see how it looks. I also picked up from Rough Country their 1/4" wheel spacers just so I can put a decent Tire on also and don't have to worry about rubbing. But how has it been since you leveled your truck was it worth it and how is the ride. Any info would help big time. I have a 2015 Ram 1500 crew cab and just like you like to save money and do things myself without any help even though my brother-in-law is a gold technician/ manager for Porsche and can never get help from him that's why I'm watching KZread. Thanks again and God bless everyone 🙏

Hye bud hope you're doing great!! Thank for checking out the video! I learn everything from youtube, really is a great learning tool! So the ride quality hasn't changed hardly any from stock to putting on the leveling kit. Not really any fuel mileage difference either. Really is a nice kit and fairly straight forward to put on. Just make sure you becareful when compressing those coil springs, really is dangerous. Try strapping them to something so that way they don't fly across the room if anything crazy happens. Glad you enjoyed the video my friend and good luck on your truck. Take care and God bless!

Have you had any trouble from not replacing your upper control arm?

Hey thanks for checking out the video! I've not had any problems with my truck whatsoever since I put this kit on. I tow a 20ft pontoon boat with no problems and everything works fine. Mine is a 2015 so I don't know if there is any differences in a 2019 but if it's the same then you shouldn't have to change your upper control arms. The cv axels aren't in a bind and the control arms still have plenty of travel space off the frame. I hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by and take care!

Is this only for the 4x4 or can it be used on the 2wd also ?

The pucks are only for 4wd I believe. Looks like for the rough country leveling kit on a 2wd replaces the whole coil spring with a longer one that costs around $150. Hope this helps bud.

@GM OUTDOORS thank you brother so far all i found on Rough country is the 2" level coilover kit or the lift kit for the 4th gen 2wd rams of course you can go bigger but I'm not trying to make my 2wd look like a 4×4 just leveling it out and give a more aggressive look

It's a hardened ABS plastic. I've used them before on a Silverado and never have had any problems out of them. They are better than the spacer that goes on top of the strut. Hope this helps brother!

@@GM.OUTDOORSWhy is that? What makes it better? You don't have to deal with compressing the spring on the ones that you bolt on top. You just remove the whole assembly (strut and coil) intact...
