    Needless to say we are pretty happy to see this video get made. HUGE thanks to Lamb Chop Rides for making the effort to put this video out and Dynojet UK for providing the profesional dyno services. Bravo. Ironically, not only an hour ago we also ran into Chris Fillmore mountain biking in the local hills. (An animal on a Super Duke and only the world record holder at Pike's Peak using this exact same setup with the Rottweiler Intake and PCV) Seems like the Orange Gods are smiling upon us today.

    More an advocate of ecu flashing here....an ecu flash will give more control (and better results) although as you said you already had a "kind of a flash" as it were. A power commander will not allow a flapper valve motor to be removed, it doesnt have injector control either as such and if im not mistaken you get no control over engine braking either but i might be wrong on that one. The power commander guys do say "well it can all be removed if your selling the bike" but, id rather sell mine and say, "its been professionally mapped and the air fuel is bang on, mpg is good and pulls like a train" rather than "its back to stock so underpowered with a choppy throttle!"....nice vid all the same....nothing like seeing bikes getting caned on the dyno!

  • @LambChopRides

    @LambChopRides

    6 жыл бұрын

    +Comfy Sofa yes good point regarding the extra you can do with the flash forgot about flappers etc..

  • @comfysofa1549

    @comfysofa1549

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yeah - just an observation....ive bought some bikes that have come with power commanders. Ive removed them and then got them mapped (and the ecu) written and its always been better, plus i sell the power commander to fund the mapping time on the dyno. Having said that - is the ecu on the SDR flashable...some arent so a power commander is the only way to go. The only downside is that if you do sell the bike then it has to go with that engine setup other wise the flashed ecu wont work as the config has changed.

You head up to Squires Cafe near Leeds on the Friday evening, camp there overnight and leave at 5am, do the 1,000 miles and you’re back there for about 8’ish that night. Beers, burgers, war stories then camp there again Sat night, ride home Sunday. Hey Mr Chops! Your videos made me envious ( in a good way ) and I went ahead and bought the 5 im kit. I bought a arrow decat link pipe. My question to you is....do you think that the extra horsepower the complete akrapovic system gives comes from the fact that there is no more catalyser? Or is it from the headers ? I have the akra slip on with an arrow decat link pipe but with the original headers. I also have pvc5 and ignition modul. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth for me to pay the 2 grand exhaust line versus the 300$ arrow decat....thx 😬

    Hey Lamb Chop, nice job detailing your Dyno session, nice usable power gains were made for sure. I have a 2018 SDR with almost identical mods except I'm running two short 40 velocity stacks. I just installed the ignition module which I purchased through Rottweiler and they have have two timing maps less aggressive with advance from +1 to +4 and more aggressive with advance from +2 to +7 I loaded the less aggressive table till I can get the bike on my friends Dyno at SWR motors, who by the way builds the fastest GSXR 1000 motors in the US right now! Problem is it's winter in the Northeast of the US so I can't get there and he's incredibly busy from now until early summer building engines for 2020 dragracing season, so is there any way you could post up the ignition table for your session as I just want to see what the min and max amount of timing was added to make sure I'm in the safe zone till I can get the bike tuned. Thanks in advance....Gary

    I’ve heard from other owners the full system is over 102 static with the baffle, but it does seem to vary. I pass Loomies regularly in the summer so I’ll goad you into a drag if I spot Bestie!

    It will be interesting to see the results from noise testing. I’m kind of hoping it’s over 102 or it will cost me a couple of grand in the form of a full system 😉 My Akra Slip-on was 97 with the baffle out. My Daytona 675 was 104 with the bloody baffle in - a fist full of wadding did the trick but it was not ideal.

    in ducati they've changed the ecu on the diavel and its permanently locked so can't flash it or even change it with there factory termigoni exhaust upgrades :( I've debated changing the bike because of it but then i think am i just sulking and do i need more then 162 bhp (crank bhp) for my usage haha

    Well done Mr chops, I have much the same setup minus the ignition module. I got 179hp and 109ft at the wheel, went the cheaper option with the arrow midpipe into akra slip on. went from 156hp to 179hp so very happy with that, if you own this bike do the rottweiler upgrade. Its how the bike was meant to be bought out! Keen for more vids on the duke! I really want to know about the oberon clutch slave if it made any difference, especially slipping wheelies in 4th at 100mph as mine feels like it slips a bit.

    Do you know which of the many Rottweiler maps they sent you? I have very nearly the same set up, this would be a good start until I get to the Dyno; loving this series btw, you have me wanting the orange triple clamp porn now, have resisted it for ages but the will is weak. Then the carbon will be next..... I have a healtech q/s on mine, you are going to laugh like a lunatic with that motor and a q/s, I can hear the screams already!!! Keep up the excellent work
