Stephany, I’m SO SORRY for your loss!! Did you choose to ha a Necropsy ( Autopsy on an animal) done to find out cause of death? Did the vet have ANY guesses? I worked with a veterinary Internal Medicine doctor and Rottweilers are notorious for having several issues that have been bred into them because they were one of “the “ dogs to have in the late 80’s and the 90’s! Hence, a LOT of inbreeding. We saw ( and treated) a LOT of Rotties for all forms of cancer, renal failure, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems, etc , and OF COURSE hip dysplasia. But CA ( cancer) was definitely the most prevalent disease that we saw in our practice . Which is in Atlanta. ( Where a lot of athletes, musicians, and actors live. And they all love Rottweilers not only for their ability to be family protection but to be part of their families in general…

@@TheDesireeFox No, I didn’t have the money; my dad helped me financially to have him cremated but didn’t see the point in having a necropsy… Knowing his cause of death isn’t gonna bring him back to us. We took it as god’s plan… He was Severely malnourished to the point where his was in early liver failure in May 2018 when I rescued him. The vets even worried about having him fixed a yr later b/c of his passed with his liver. So we suspect his death had something to do with that😔

🤣. My emotions went from PISSED OFF, to ok thats funny lol.

If your dog attacks you you need to start showing dominance to your dog so they see you as alpha.

Doesn’t be mean or abuse your dog with my pit he weighed between 160 and 170 (horse) he growled at me only once I flipped him over once and held him there for a couple of seconds looked at him and said no ugly mom don’t like that ever then held his head still then let him up he never did that again I let him know that I was the Alpa did the same with my sister’s large dobie she was larger than her dad it worked to Let them know who’s in control without beating them or killing them you’ll never have any problems

@@murphdawgswizzle my doggie boy was like that as a puppy. He was literally insane. I was actually afraid of him. I took him to training, read books constantly, talked to behaviourists. I had all these plans to hold off till a year old to let him fully develop all his breed characteristics, but I just had to get him fixed at 4 months. That was it. It was like that Krusty doll on the Simpson’s where there’s the ‘evil’ switch on the back, he changed immediately after being neutered. He’s currently 8 and a half and quiet and patient and very loving and most importantly obedient!

I read that title and i thought it was real. I was like girl... nah uh. You dont put a dog down because of that? Lol glad it was the husband. Hehe

Kira Stoyko, reading your comment, i think its higly time for doggos and friends to have laws to protect them. Like the right to defends property, or self defense. Why should we put down doggos that protect their houses, their moms or even their food. Why is mankind full of this kind of shit that annoys dogs or their owners and whines likes babys caught on fault when things get bad and dare to ask dogs to die. Thoses assholes should be the one to be put down not our lovables furry bears.

Wow, reminded me of the time I was walking my black lab, and suddenly a huge rottweiler came running from who knows where ( hell I guess) and he went directly to attack my dog. I thought me and my dog would end up death that day, but my Sombra fought back like a warrior. She beat a shit out of that dog, which had me stunned cause my baby girl was the sweetest thing ever, and I never saw her being that aggressive. The whole time she was shielding me from the dog. I loved her ever more after that day. She was willing to give her life for me, and I don't think many people would do that. I miss my baby girl so much now 🌈 🌈

So sad… we always miss our loved ones whether they die of natural causes or we have to put them down. I “rehomed” mine, but under your circumstances you did the right thing.

My Rott would've tried to get on for the ride & my Boxer would be pulling at the other end...my boys did this all the time to see if they would help in an emergency 💯🐶💗😆
