each and every album is better than the last one, and it's been going on for decades now! Rotting Christ, a band that will drop your jaw with every new album they release, this is beyond amazing

I love this band, it's the only black metal band that has Christian songs as well as Satanic ones. It seems like a contradiction. But in the end everything is spirituality. Love will win.

I think this song is more about how a Godless humanity gets punished by the Wrath of God in a thousand year long war between the Lord and the vile forces of Evil.

@Nathair Dies Irae translates to "Day of wrath". And the segment "thousands of years of wrath and fire will reign" literally references the Thousand year long war of God and his armies against evil from the book of revelations. The original Dies Irae is also a medieval catholic hymn about the final judgement.

@Nathair Agreed, the band may not send some soft christian message like "love thy neighbor" but I think they are still neutral about Religion and Satanism. And it is more about Religion as some great force that is sometimes dreadful and incomprehensible. For example: The earth Thousands of years of wrath and pain The birth A kingdom of light and fire will reign The life References the christian belief that Jesus will return one day and fight this Thousand year war to bring the Kindom of God upon the human world. And the line In gardens with seeds and fruits you reign Means that Humans will become pure like Adam and Eve again with all the Damage to God's creation that we have done healed.

Like the religion it self. Remember, as above so below. There is balance, you can't live in pure good because there is no "pure" good. Evil is not pure either, Evil is not born, is made. Satan was an Angel once and he keep saying to God that we end in the same place in balance, there is darkness in light and light in darkness.

Remember this: Satan was always the Angel of God until he had a argument about forgiveness. Rule 9 of the Satanic bible: "Satan is and was always the friend of the church, BUT only for those who does good" the rules of the satanists "you wont ever hurt peolple or animals without a reason, you may protect yourself but you may never kill or sacrafice a human, child or animal in the name of Satan or the other Infernals"
