Shiiit, If I had my own heli, I'd be in flip flops too... Like a boss.

I almost bought a 162F back in '04, for a fair price. With my lack of adequate space at the time, I couldn't justify it. Great video.

Looking into getting my rotorwing PPL and then buying a RW162F like this one just to fly around and have fun in. Do you find your heli dependable and easy to maintain? What are your likes and dislikes? Is insurance a huge expense? Im asking around to get a feel for what I may be in for if I acquire one. Thanks!

Why do you repeatedly engage and disengage drive to the rotor? Is this part of the preflight?

Some other helicopters have clockwise rotation and left side pilot, not only Rotorway.

Not sure what some peoples problem is with you wearing flip flops. They can go make their own helic vids their way, no need to for little minds to attack innocent toes.

You only need to have known one person who had to kick their way out of a burning helicopter to know why you wear appropriate footwear. He actually flew in flip flops regularly, but on the day of his mishap he had on leather boots. Badly burned all over his body, except his feet. So there's a reason.....

If you have an emergency and have to land out far from civilisation, it helps to have some decent footwear for the long walk to get help (or at least to get cell reception).
