Enjoyed this. Do table games have the same volatility as slots? I know I have played roullete and seen 12 blacks before. I have also played double deck BJ and lost every hand 15 times in a row pitch game. Dig your news letter and hiking trips. The Mexico summits were nuts and enthralling. My wife and I hope to run into you in Vegas someday. Odds are low since we frequant 12 to 14 days a year.

Not even close. Blackjack and roulette are closely compared to a coin flip’s volatility. 12 blacks in a row is rare, but it happens. Surprisingly, a near-coin flip takes upwards of 20,000 hands to be sure you’ve actually lost. Slots are more closely compared to a million-sided dice deciding your outcome. Many sides of that dice give the same result, say 600,000 sides lose your money and 100,000 double your money, and 1 gives a jackpot. You can play slots your entire life without really experiencing its volatileness.

An interesting thing is to compute/simule the probability of doubling your initial bankroll with martingale. And after compare with the probability of doubling by betting all your chips in one hand. In my opinion martingale < bet all in one hand

Idea : Always bet on the Underdog with the Martingale Strategy but only after 12 constant losses of the underdog. For example bet on the underdog in NBA games. But only start betting if the underdog in the previous 12 nba games has lost. and then start with the martingale strategy betting on the underdog. it happens really rarely that the underdog loses 12 times in the row but when it happens you start. sometimes the losing streak of the underdogs continue but it ends at one point. i think this NBA season the underdogs lost at most 15/16 times in a row. does the strategy make sense?
