My family are from the North East. Sunderland were flying under Peter Reid in 1998 when they visited Millmoor for an FA Cup draw. My favourite uncle came down with my cousin and Kevin Phillips put 4 past us. I also remember developing a real hatred for Niall Quinn during the course of the match 😂 My uncle was full of it after the match, and wouldn't let me forget that his mighty Sunderland had schooled little Rotherham. I wish that he was still around for a lot of reasons, but it would have also been nice to wind him up about this one.

Well done Rotherham. by far the better team. Sunderland were totally outplayed . The shearer celebrations let the lad down. Insulting to Sunderland and im sure they wont forget that come the return fixture.

Insulting? Are you being serious?? What i found INSULTING was the total lack of RESPECT from a certain section of Sunderland fans shouting and bawling during the minutes silence. Now THAT is totally out of order.
