When faced with many toys, your little one may struggle to focus.
Try these three strategies:
1️⃣ Start by setting out four to six playthings at a time and see how your child responds. There’s no one-size-fits-all number-you may find that they can focus well with as many as eight or 10.
2️⃣ Children learn through repetition, so give your child plenty of time to explore every plaything. Determine when to rotate based on their cues. Keep it in the mix as long as your child is drawn to an activity. When their interest in it wanes, put it away and bring out a different one.
3️⃣When you rotate playthings, be sure to keep current favorites available. This reassuring your child and encourages them to continue following their interests.
