Rossini composed this wonderful and deeply felt Elegy "Une larme" ("A tear") originally for double bass and piano in 1858, after he recovered from a long illness.
First recording after the rediscovery of Rossini's dedicatory Autograph.
Recorded LIVE at Crown Hall of Albrechtsberg castle in Dresden / Germany on March 21st, 2018.

@@noyemimailyan6313 Correction - some have postulated it was written for Cello - but recent research & discussion reveals Rossini actually wrote it for double bass. Many cellists think it's standard fare for the cello - but it ain't.
