Videnoff is my new favourite conductor after watching this. This is how Rossini should be conducted. Bravo maestro. Brilliant and funny.

So invigorating to see players who dance in their seats. Even when not playing, the players sway to the rhythm. Rossini would love it.

It's the music used in Stanley Kubrick's, film "A Clockwork Orange". It's an a inspiring explosion of joy, life, and happiness. My favorite Rossini overature among the great works he created. Bravisimo!

unico? purtroppo in buona compagnia. quella dei tanti "direttori" sordi come lui che non sanno cosa sia dirigere, non sanno bilanciare i suoni dell'orchestra, non conoscono la storia delle interpretazioni che li hanno preceduti e pensano che dirigere sia muovere in aria una bacchetta. quelli che dirigono Rossini (e il resto) come farebbe un bambino davanti a uno stereo. solo che qui le sue mosse inconsulte danno fastidio a chi suona, e infatti l'orchestra in più di un punto perde di verticalità. dunque? evidentemente ha amici importanti, altrimenti non si spiegherebbe come un disastro del genere possa "dirigere".

Esecuzione divina, memorabile, da pelle d'oca, da brividi. Da ascoltarla 10 volte al giorno.

Rossini, Offenbach, and Beethoven wrote the best Overtures. IMHO. I still remember that about 30 years ago, while I was traveling, in Beijing, I bought my first handheld recorder, a headphone, and a few music tapes, which included my very first tape that was filled with Rossini and Offenbach Overtures. From that point on, I couldn't stop listening to it over and over again. That cost over one month of my salary at the time, but I never regretted it, since it was a bargain for a lifetime enjoyment of classical music like this one. Just cannot stop sharing the story.

There's nothing more powerful than Rossini's overtures yet joyful and happily emotional all at once coming to you like a cavalry charge.

Stupenda interpretazione. A queto capolavoro vorrei aggiungere solo questo . Con queste note la il maestro Toscanini riapri il sipario della SCALA dopo la seconda guerra mondiale. per gli amanti di Rossini vedere il finale del guglielo tel spiegato da Alessandro Baricco . Buon anno

What a joy watching the uninhibited conductor express the soul and spirit of this piece. No wonder he gets such a terrific performance out of these talented musicians!

I truly enjoyed Rossini today, and my special thanks to the conductor, Mr. Boian Videnoff: he is the soul of the orchestra, so expressive and happy looking! My congratulations for the vibrant performance!

I thought I was the only one to be delirious at the audition, the conductor comforted me by showing me that no, of course, imagine... thank you... I feel even more delirious. Music is truly transcendental...

Lovely and brilliant way to conduct the orchestra in front of such a difficult musical score. Videnoff encourages the musicians while making them have fun, simply bright! I think I've seen some of them playing their instruments in a mindset between an unavoidable concentration and a funny, delightful sense of enjoyment. Lucky them! If Rossiny was around, he wouldn't probably miss this superb performance of one of his masterpieces. Bravo!!!

I've never had so much fun as watching Maestro Lidenoff conducting Gioacchino Rossini's La Gazza Ladra overture which I've lost count of the times I've heard it. Maestro Lidenoff adds an amusing buffoonesque and clownish tone with his leading of the orchestra. And not let yourselves be fooled by his delightful good humour. He's an accomplished, talented and superb artist and conductor … and to top it all off he is very handsome too.

Rossini was quite simply the first great modern entertainer and along with Tchaikovsky remains one of the two most entertaining of the pre-20th century great masters.
