It is like our Political system have been hijacked. I remember the Republican Party when it was the true Republican Party but the got rid of the real ones and we know who they are and these evil doers calling them the Republican party are no more Republican officials then I am the president of the United States. They are a cult and they are running this country to h--- and if things don't change God help us all. Yes i agree we should have term limits, there should be an age shut off point and every government official including the President should be held up by the same laws as everyone else. Right now they are not held accountable and that is one of the main reasons we are in this mess. Also there should be no electoral college votes early and all that crap, we need to count every single vote even if that means voting earlier. There should be locked voting stations so no one can cheat or whatever it is that causes a big stink. There is so much that needs to change in this country and sooner or later people will rise up because the stress of the mess is destroying this country. THe Government process has become a war zone of power, greed and corruption our country must be fought for or what are, are children and grandchildren going to live through. Yes I agree with Rosie and I feel her frustration about Trump and his whole clan kids and all, I just blows my mind that he is still free. The way i see it is he is making a lot of people rich being free including the media all the media. Look at all the headlines on youtube videos pertaining to Trump. If he goes to jail the money bucket stops he is worth more fee and allowed to do what he does and that is why people like me are pissed. The whole thing is greed, corruption and power struggle. We the people out here are paying the price while people like you even are raking in the bucks, you are part of the media and that is ratings you profit off him as well, sorry but it is true.

New viewer here and there’s a large portion of Americans that are working so many hours just to survive (this alone makes you agitated) and when someone comes along and tells them he sees them and promotes himself as a “savior” …. Need I say more? You covered much of this. Excellent discussion and we can create change but first everyone needs to stop digging trenches and start working together toward a solution: term limits, ethics etc etc etc

It’s all shades of grey. Obviously I want nothing to do with an extremist banning books so lean a certain way but lesser of evils no longer works. Obviously not accepting election results is unAmerican but we’ve seen corruption on both sides. People within both parties need to clean up their own parties to give the people something worth believing in and we have to keep dialogue’s open.

Both Trump and Biden have their graces and pitfalls. I can share a long list but I care about the length of my comment. You, the left, demonize Trump as the worst animal (which is simply not true, given his America-oriented policies, his rejection of presidential salary while in office, and his unique resilience power before the hurricane of legal attacks). You even made him a "rapist" when the jury (in Carroll's case) clearly did not find so and stuck to 'abstraction' (which is unacceptable in justice anatomy), and you somehow stopped mentioning Tara Reade's very convincing testimony against Biden (that "fingering man") because you are the empty vessels of Biden. I neither side with the empty vessels of Trump. I just don't like to be a vessel of somebody who will through inside of me his/her interests. Close your eyes, for a moment, and think, "Do I really think what I said?" Freedom of speech is a gem in American democracy, however, there are consequences of sharing in public your undeveloped/badly-informed feelings that may have a colossal impact. The "clear and present danger" standard of the Espionage Act (1919) that is played against Trump in the federal case has been only used by the left against the right. The right never used that against the leftist orators and should do so now. I like Rosie, but she is deeply confused and personally biased.

Listening to Chris is like listening to someone who has lived way too long in news media. He talks so much that he doesn’t really take a deep long look at the truth. Rosie speaks the truth in a few words which is so much more effective and helpful. The best part of the whole chat was the last 10 minutes. Getting to the golden nugget of the why. Desperation. There is so much opportunity. So much need.

She does not make excuses or blame others for her shortcomings, even when she knows she'll face her consequences. She's an honest person who owns up to any and all accountability. Because we don't take advice from celebrities who start fights they can't finish. When someone votes for president they aren't voting for their best friend, a pastor or a Sunday school teacher. They're voting for who they believe will help them and their country. Facts don't lie and under Trump we were doing great. Under Biden we are doing horrible.

I agree with Rosie. I watched the news when he first ran for president, and I kept saying they weren't asking him tough questions or bringing up his past. Even though we can find it in a book or on Google, they didn't mention it on TV because they wanted to keep him coming back for interviews. He was entertaining, and they made money off of him, allowing him to be in the position he's in. And guess what? They're doing a full repeat right now.

I’ll even throw media a bone and say in 2016 they didn’t know not to cover him like any other presidential candidate; or even in the beginning of his administration, not to cover him like any other of our Presidents. Cuomo was right about Donald being a salesman and a con artist. He saw that the news/media would cover whatever he said and took full advantage of that. Mainstream media has not learned from their mistakes at all and are repeating them during this 2024 election season, it’s so frustrating.

Come on Chris, Trump defies all norms!! 1.had the country believe his vice president could overturn an election 2. 1st to turn over a peaceful transfer of power 3.now doesn’t show up for debates 🤦‍♀️ Trump believes he is above the law and you comparing to Biden is like comparing apples and oranges. For Chris to say that there's no substantial difference between the unethical entertainment aspect of the news compared to 50 years ago is outrageous. People in the journalism industry were much more conscious of the rules of conduct. It was extremely unethical to give opinions or let fiduciary ties dictate news programming because unlike today, it was a time when there were competing values to money.
