I get that it is enraging seeing them spend money on unnecessary things in there but if everyone is not buying anything then the show would be so boring. The contestants are aware they are being watched and they know that doing stuff like spending money will create more content and make it more enjoyable to watch. It's like when you watch reality tv, the people will make stupid decisions or say/do things that are out there to make it more enjoyable for the viewers, it's not all about winning as much money as you can, it's also about your appearance on the show. Yes, people like Leah because she's being reasonable with the money but realistically she hasn't done or said much in the first episode to make it entertaining. After all it's for ENTERTAINMENT and it's being filmed for the audience so there's no need to get so heated over their characters.

the reason why I think high maintenance is a negative thing is because, if it would just mean that you know what you want, then majority of people would definitely be number one cause they know what they want, but it is more than that. I would more define it as needy and spoiled, the fact that you need stuff that you don't even need. That is what I think high maintenance is. Giving your partner nice things should also not be called high maintenance, cause that is just what partners do in a relationship. When you meet someone who is high maintenance you will know it cause they will annoy you with it and you won't find it pleasant.
