The way that they are doing this show is spot-on with characterization from the books. Rose and Dimitri have the perfect chemistry for each other. Can't wait to see how they introduce Adrian. And if we get more seasons we might get my favorite character from the books (she even has a crossover series).

Tbh 1 yrs difference doesn't make it more or less "creepy". Wasn't really tht creepy to begin with if u consider exactly how quickly most Dhampirs die. Thus they have to live life to the fullest while they can.

@@Forty2Times She was 17 & he was 23-24 in the books right? I don't remember exactly, it's been a long while since I read, but what I'm saying is that from 17 to 18, 300 days doesn't automatically make someone an adult. So to simply change her age to 18 in the show, and not like, 20-22 etc, I just don't get the logic? How that 300 days or not, suddenly makes it more or less OK either way? And what I'm trying to say abt the whole, 'the majority die young' thing (abt the books) is that they're forced to mature quickly & accept killing/death quickly. Accept that they don't really have options to chose things or attatch to things for themselves other than their Moroi, that they're more than likely to die before like, 30 & that they all probably feel the need to live as fast as possible before they don't have time to do so. And that in the book world, if you find love like that, you need to hold onto it as much as u can before its gone/taken from you. (Like what actually happened in the books, lmao😭)

I maintain they should have just waited for the Frostbite story where she killed like 3 strigoi as her first time. It is still my favourite book of the series, with the intro of Adrian as well. The plot really started to pick up then too. Though I also like the one where Abe is introduced, that was the next best book. I feel like they are rushing Rose and Dimitri, they better not actually have him turn next episode like the episode summary implies. This was cute though.

@@emilymariehill You know, I was on the fence originally. I'm a hardcore book nerd & always love the books more than movie/tv adaptations. And there are some things I wish they hadn't done/changed (Mikhail😭💔), but overall I think I'm liking it pretty well so far. My main love of it is seeing #Romitri come to life in a more elaborate way. They are my otp & I've always loved the slow, intense grow of their relationship. The whole 'Omg, look. This person fits me perfectly but there's this fear of loss of each other, this block of things between us out of our control holding us back'. I hope it goes on throughout many seasons so we can see more of the books through this adaptations eyes. I'd give it a solid 8/10 for #Romitri reasons

Ik that Lissa and christian are also the main couple but like why do i like the actors who play jesse and lissa's chemistry more? don't come for me. 100% i always rewatch the Romitri scenes they're the best part by far. I also love the fight scenes. especially during the benchmark in the church oml 😄😄 iykyk i also like and prefer some of the changes with dimitr's character (how he hides his russian accent but it slips when he starts getting passionate - usually around rose lol) and when he is at the bar drinking and dancing with everyone! so cute! i think those were good changes cuz the base of his character traits are still there

Haha tut mir so leid für dich. Ich komme aus der Schweiz und habe so meine Methoden, wie ich trotzdem alles schauen kann, insofern es die englische Orginalsprache betrifft (ich gucke sowieso alles im Original). Aber Deutschland wird schon noch einen Moment warten müssen, wenn man Julie Plec glauben darf (sie hat mal so was erwähnt in einem Interview). Jetzt musst du natürlich selber entscheiden, ob du dich spoilern lassen willst oder versuchst, dich zurückzuhalten - ich könnte es auf jeden Fall nicht xD Und ich finde die Serie HAMMER. Ich hatte mich auf alles eingestellt, aber nicht darauf, dass ich es so geniessen würde. Ist echt viel besser geworden, als ich zu träumen gewagt habe :)

Ich weiß, in der Serie ist einiges anders und vielen OG Fans gefällt das nicht so.. aber man sollte dem ganzen doch eine Chance geben, es lohnt sich, allein schon für Kieron (Dimitri) und Sisi (Rose). Ich hoffe wir bekommen eine 2. Staffel!

@@zoevera9383 Ganz ehrlich, wenn man alles nur schlecht redet, kann man sich sowieso nicht als Fan bezeichnen. Dann ist man vielleicht ein Buch-Fan, aber ganz bestimmt kein Fan dieses VA-Universums. Ich verstehe ja, was einigen nicht passt. Ich bin auch nicht ganz mit allem einverstanden. Aber ein Buch, ein Film und eine Serie sind nun einmal völlig verschiedene Medien und sie müssen - mit den Jahren - auch Veränderungen durchlaufen. Wollen wir wirklich eins-zu-eins sehen, was wir schon hundertmal gelesen haben und lieben? Also ich finde es toll so, wie es bisher ist. Zumal ich wirklich das Gefühl habe, dass alle Involvierten (Julie Plec sowie die Schauspieler*innen) das hier wirklich LIEBEN. Und klar gibt es so typisch cringe-CW-Momente, aber das ist halt so. Ich bin ein absolut riesnegrosser Fan der Bücher - und ich bin auch ein absolut riesengroser Fan der Serie, auch wenn es sich durchaus anders anfühlt. Die meisten motzen sowieso nur wegen dem Cast rum und wer also JETZT noch immer nicht darüber hinweg ist, tut sich selber wirklich keinen Gefallen. Sisi und Kieron sind grossartig und egal, wie es mit der Serie weitergehen mag... Das hier kann uns niemand mehr wegnehmen. Und dafür werde ich immer dankbar sein
