Музыка
Join us for the second event in the Resonance series featuring innovator, musician, and composer Roscoe Mitchell, whose career began in Chicago in the 1960s. He went on to became a leader in a movement that experimented with alternatives to conventional jazz composition and improvisation, and was a founding member of the Art Ensemble of Chicago. Mitchell's compositions range from modern to classical, and from wild and forceful free jazz to ornate chamber music.

He's still making NEW SOUNDS!
Thank U for sharing this 🎶🎖❣️♻️🌿 nj-usa Jan 24
Sound Potpourri right here. Many things to dig here, I haven't even gotten through the whole video, but what is currently knocking me out are the rolly ball mallets at 19 minutes. That's a crazy sound there. Love it!
I came upon this and thought I'd watch a "sample". At the end I wanted more. As a video it's easier to appreciate what's going on and who is doing what. STUNNING!!!!!!!!
thank you for posting this incredible video. Three great musicians.

riveting! Beautiful sounds!
Wow - just amazing - thank you
still love your sounds!!
A 2022 Guardian classical music review of a London contemporary music festival ran for about three paragraphs with two photographs. Roscoe Mitchell was performing with Tyshawn Sorey. Two paragraphs and both photos were devoted to Mitchell's performance. Not bad for an octogenarian.
I used to have a bicycle that made noises like that.

Perhaps you had a sentient bicycle that practiced for thousands of hours to attain those sounds, just as these musician have.

muy interesante
Хорошо !
Interesting music. If Coltrane was alive though be on a totally different planet!
Roscoe with William Winant and James Fei. They released a CD: roguart.com/product/angel-city/84, different concert, I think.
The cat is on it. Great performance. Felt the first “movement” was just a little long, after that it kept on evolving…
A fucking masterwork.
: )... Incredible

I’m sure mine would be, which is why I wouldn’t bring him
Oh! No matter how popular or unpopular this genre is, these guys deserve their ears to be deep-fried by a horde of Kazoos for the rest of existence and non- existence in some infernal confines... Yet to find something more annoying and ridiculous at the same time.
This guy is taking the piss. The kings new clothes come to mind.

Yes, yes. Perhaps you should read a bit about Roscoe before you make stupid comments in public. Maybe you don't like what his does, but he is not "taking a piss". This music has been around as long as "rock and roll" has and is equally legitimate.

Why did you watch it? What is anti-music? What is anti-sound? Is there anti-painting? You made a silly comment.
