Rosary Chain Tutorial/ Beaded Chain Link - Basic Wire Wrapping Techniques

This is a basic wire wrapping technique used to make bracelets, necklaces, earrings, to make tassels or as a component in a design like this hand chain bracelet.
Bead chain is made by creating and linking beads surrounded on either side with wire wrapped loops.
For this tutorial i used 0.6 mm (22g) copper round wire and 4 mm Lapis Lazuli gemstone beads.

    Thank you so much for demonstrating in a simple and easy way. I learnt a totally different way of making a rosary link chain. In the replies to comments below you have explained about 10 beads chsin then a bigger bead. Could you explain if this chain needs a clasp or without. Also how to distribute beads for a long chain wearing a jumper. Could you do a video on lariat style necklace please. I really liked your video. Just discovered. Thanks

    Thank you so much for your replay and sorry for the latest answer! Your message was lost in lots of notifications. If you want to use these style to make a Rosary than you don’t need clasps, because they don’t have one.(with 59 beads it will be large enough to fit your neck) If you want to make a necklace then you need clasps.

    Hi there, and thank you for your comment! If you are working with copper i recommend to to choose the wire from 0.6mm (22g) to 0.8mm (20ga), it depends on the bead size and hole size. If you are working with silver i recommend Soft wire (Dead soft wire bends very easily), and you can choose from 0.5 mm (24ga) to 0.8 (20ga). These are the sizes that I use and I hope they will help you as well.♥️

    Vaidehi Nagaonkar Thank you! 🥰 You can make it as long as you want it. It depends if you want to make a bracelet or a chain. I love to make choker necklace (between 35-40 cm long). 1 bead = 1 cm ( if you use 4 mm bead and 0.6 mm wire)

    Vaidehi Nagaonkar And if you want to make a Rosary you will need 59 round beads. A rosary generally has sets of 10 beads, a decade, with an additional larger bead for each decade. This strand is attached to a shorter strand that also has a crucifix, one large bead, three small marble, and another large bead. A five-decade version would have a total of 59 beads

    Hi. You are going way too fast in the video, and your fingers sometimes cover what you are doing. This is not a good tutorial.

  • @deusvult2302
    @deusvult2302 Жыл бұрын

    1.) The music is awful period 2.) Noone can see how you twist loops 3.) and certainly absolutely 💯 NOBODY was able to see how you interlink the pieces. Sorry but redo the video, explain what you are doing, show it slow and leave out this godawful blasphemous music!

  • @deusvult2302
    @deusvult23022 жыл бұрын

    The video was somewhat too fast in the areas one needs to pay attention to, I wish that was better explained & slower! Also size of wire and beads would be helpful for someone undertaking this craft for the first time. And the music is gaudy. Considering you are crafting a rosary some befitting choral or low classical music would be more suiting!
