At first, I believed this song was mainly for people going through difficult breakups. I'm listening to this again and realize this can apply to anything for anyone. For me, it's my father. It just speaks so closely, but I only realized it now.

"My heart's been on fire, I was spending my nights in the rain tryna put it out." My interpretation is the rain is her tears, which is just an amazingly beautiful way of saying that. I love this line so much.

This was literally me, almost 7 years ago. I remember crying with my friends and closest classmates because it was our last Christmas party, and it really felt like the time wasnt enough for us to enjoy and make memories with. We truly became a family during the latter years of hs. We partways in our senior years but we kept the bond alive up to this day, even after college. We always invite each other during memorable events like birthdays and graduation, and the relationship between us never fades. Our circles just keep getting bigger and bigger because my senior high friends and even my college friends became close with my junior high friends. Just remember that this may be sad, it should be a reminder to you and your friends that time flies so fast so cherish every moment and keep people in your life that are worth keeping. Change is constant and it should not scare you. Thats part of life and u should embrace it. Gooooodluckkk!

My grandma passed away this make me remember her she is hugging me

(I'm leaving this here to vent) This song can definitely be applied to friendships. My "friend" whom I used to talk with like everyday essentially abandoned me after getting to know my other friend. I miss him so much yet I'm still so pissed at him. I feel this song so close to my heart right now. Manifesting that this passes in at most a month. *Update* He actually did apologize to me for stopping texting me after I mentioned that I had been afraid he hated me. We've talked a bit the last couple days but it's not the same. It can't be the same, I don't think. Maybe that's okay though. *Update* Now he and my other friend are TOGETHER! Honestly I'm taking this way better than I expected, though. I think it's just time. Time has healed the shock. TBH I don't even care about these people that much. I'm going back to school in a matter of days and I'm applying to college! Good luck everyone. Thank you to everyone who joined into this conversation!

I was in same situation as you, and I hadn’t talked with my “bestie” for 6 months since she got a new best friend and forgot about me. But it was her birthday last week so I wished her happy birthday and we started talking, she apologised and now we talk each other again and next week we go together on a vacation. I wish you the same! If it’s a true friendship, you will be friends again no matter what’s happened!❤️

This song reminds me on my very first trip to Europe. I played this song over and over along my way strolling around Amsterdam. As I listen to this song, I Just feel like I was standing under the windmill, taking a deep breath, trying to convince myself that I was in the place where I even never imagine I could visit. Spending 22 hours on the airplane was paid off after my first step in the Netherlands, adoring the beauty of its city and yeaahhh.. hope to visit there again someday❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

My bird died , She was with me for almost my whole life . She left me with my 4 lived dogs , I cried so hard . I miss her , Sadly death is apart of life , It sucks , it hurts . But I just remember so many memories of her , ❤ I love her ❤

For some reason this reminds me of “the call”. The call that literally changes your life within seconds and shatters your world to a point that it can never fully be put back together. Once you know that your entire existence can change from the ring of a phone it changes you forever. You can’t get over it though you can find ways to push forward. I haven’t been through it yet, and I really wish I never feel that way, and no one else feels like that. But as my parents divorced when I’m at my mothers house I miss my dad and I think if he’s okay and if he is with me and the same when I’m at his house but I think that way with my mom. I love my family and I really can’t risk them dying at the cause of anything other than old age.
