Chris was 16 when Rory was born, it`s much more understandable why he wouldn`t be fit to raise a child at that age. but I think that if Logan found out, he would want to raise the child. I mean, he proposed to Rory, so he was ready for a commitement in the past and he obviously doesn`t love his fiance

I think her choosing to let Logan go and be with the one he's already engaged to could mean that the baby is his. She started pulling away from him when she realized Odette had moved in and their plans were moving forward. Then with a baby, she had to make a choice not to tell him. Eventually that kid's going to grow up and want to know. Maybe she thinks she's giving Logan and Odette a chance this way. I agree, Logan would likely prefer to be involved, but Rory's strong-willed and she can definitely handle it, just like Lorelai could.

Reading all the comments I feel like only teens and young adults watched this revival, with all the outrage thrown toward Rory's life. I'm closer to my 30s and found it extremely relatable. Big dreams and a great education don't guarantee a perfect life. Success may take a few decades to come and relationships aren't black and white- even people with strong morals find themselves doing things out of character when in love. I think Rory will get where she needs to get and hopefully we will get a new revival.

Exactly what I was wondering. All the judgemental comments are surprising me, like people can't relate to the story at all. That's exactly how life works. It comes in phases, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's a struggle. It's not always a shiny road to a happy end, sometimes people get lost on the way. I personally made so many mistakes, especially in the beginning of my twenties. Wrong choices happen mostly not because one is not smart enough, but out of lack of experience and lack of confidence.

I think the main reason why everyone is a bit annoyed is cause the reason we watch these shows is because they are fiction and they are able to have happy endings that we can all squeal over... you know? Like something to give us hope that it is possible to have a happy ending... idk don't kill me for saying this :)

Ria Konkumalla i agree. We want things to be perfect. But that’s why I and I think most of us loved this show. Because they were SO relatable. They had SO MANY character flaws. All the characters did, but especially the Gilmore Girls. They did the stupidest shit, threw fits, were brats even, but we loved them! Because that’s what love is, loving someone in spite of and BECAUSE of their faults. And the fact that the entire series was set upon Rory having this great life, and she DIDN’T get it, even though everything was going to right, is LIFE. I think year in the life was overall awful. The writing and the storyline. So many things were horrible. However, the fact that her life turned out bad idk for me it made me love her even more. Life is hard.

I'm in my 30s and while I found some of this relatable every character is poorly written. In a group that loves to talk and talk fast there is zero communication. No one says what they really feel and it causes misunderstandings. I really think the palladinos knew the last 4 words and tried to get there the easiest/laziest way possible. I know these are their characters but I don't think they knew them anymore. Seriously people change but not this much.

@@fortich94 oh really nice smart sweet Logan who used her several times as a comic relief for his friends and comrades from upper class, who duped her for his crazy irresponsible life-threathning adventures, who actually had no balls to stand up against his family and control freak father.. yeah he definitely didn´t force her but not because he "knew her better than Jess" but because he himself had been abused so by his own family so he didn´t wanted to be the bad guy.. Jess on the other hand truly understood Rory.. as many confuse it, Jess didn´t push her to anything (as if she´d let anyone do it (exactly like her mum) ) cuz he knew best, he was just asking her what was the matter with her.. he tried to remind her of her true self and then-current goals she herself set for her (as she herself admitted she didn´t know.. as if she could hanging with Logan, who made her forget herself completely so as to be like him, running from any trouble or hard work just to "party" to "enjoy the life").. Jess too was the only one who actually got her to critically see how she handles her private life and her relations with people (guys mostly, those she dated or befriended).. she half-unwittingly toyed with Dean (who was too soft, slow and dopey), was giving Jess a cold shoulder (albeit not deliberately purposefully) which again Jess reminded her about ( important lesson for her development) and played hard to get and "you don´t know me so well as you think" only to finally bump into Logan and fall for "pick up line" strategy, appeal of money and seemingly laid back attitude that in the end proved to be a facade cuz many too often Logan had put Rory in front of "there and now" choices (usually giving choices between go with Logan and rescind and abandon everything you are/were to do or don´t leave with me and be alone for couple days/ weeks, pondering potentially "bad choice of staying" giving her boyfriend excuse to break up with her cuz she chose to go with him..) that made her unhappy and sometimes even angry.. so yeah Logan was definitely the best man for Rory.. BAH WHADDA YUTZ!!

I get the idea that they wanted Rory to raise the kid same as her mom. And while Rory turned out great there’s no need for her to raise the child alone. She loves Logan and Logan loves her more than anything. He would marry her in a second and this time I don’t think she would say no. Lorelai was young and didn’t want to get married and also Christopher was young and he wasn’t ready to be a father. But Rory and Logan are both grown up adults ready to start a family who love each other more than anything. So tell me where’s the good ending in that. (Still hoping for one more movie where they show them together)

I know Rory is as daft as they come, she is trying to project what a 30 year old Logan should do to what a 16 year old Christopher did. Why is she so dense technically by law she has no right to decide to be a single parent if Logan sues for joint custody this didn't apply in Lorelai case. It was Rory decision to have the affair but consequence is both their fault she can't unilaterally decide to keep the baby all to herself. Does Rory have any values.

@@maragathm Are you speaking as a lawyer? I don't think Logan can do much about the situation if Rory chooses to hide that fact from him. He seems to be determined to do the so-called "dynastic plan". He knows Rory still loves him deeply. In fact, when he made the proposal back in the day, she wanted to try doing the long distance relationship again. Logan, on the other hand, issued an ultimatum, all of nothing. Now, she asked him if he's really marrying Odette and instead of saying, "if you are willing to marry me now, I won't marry Odette", Rory got a different answer, so that's where they stand. Now, if Rory tells him she's pregnant and then, he says, "well, that changes everything". Doesn't that seem like a shot-gun wedding/marriage? He's only gonna marry her because of the baby. No, he has to change his mind, not because of the baby, but because he really does love her and wants to be with her forever. I think that's the right thing to do.

It's Logan's. And it all seems so Emily and Richard to me. 1) Logan is engaged, just like Richard was before getting with Emily (who was "the other woman", like Rory). 2) Logan and Rory started their relationship at Emily and Richard's vow renewal. They were meeting in the Gilmores' poolhouse. He even proposed with both of them present. That has to mean something. 3) Remember the episode with the prank made by Richard and Rory on Logan as a revenge? Richard said to him: "welcome to the family, son". It was a joke then but may as well be lowkey forshadowing. 4) The Huntzbergers disapprove of Rory, just like the Gilmores disapproved of Emily. 5) Rory and Logan met in college, just like Emily and Richard did. Most of shows end "controversially" these days to create drama, fan disussions, as well as subvert expectations. That attacts attention and makes money, so that's probably why they ruined it like that. But deep inside I know they will be together someday, especially when there's a baby on the way, and I don't want any second or third revivals to tell me it's not going to happen lmao

Let's not use the term mistress. Logan is only engaged to be married, not married, so Rory isn't a mistress per se. She ended the relationship now because Logan is determined, seems like that anyway, to follow the father's wishes. When Rory had a "one-night stand" with Dean, he was still married. Still, even then that term couldn't apply 'cause it happened only once. Just a thought....

Rory knew how to study how to read and how to write , she was a perfect child but that is not enough in the real world. And everyone telling her since she was a baby that she’s special and she’ll be something big one day didn’t really help ... she was protected by everyone she knew ,she was protected emotionally and financially... and knowing that can hurt you when you go on your own to start a career that needs sacrifice and patience .... and I think Logan is her perfect match but marrying him at 22 would have not ended well because I’m sure she would’ve blamed the marriage for her bad career I’m sure it’s extremely hard for her to see everyone doing what they love married and happy when she was the one that’s supposed to have it all I think we all have rorys in our lives ...

I think that Amy didn’t want everyone to just assume that Logan and Rory would get together so she wrote Rory a random one night stand to spice things up, even though we all know if that baby ain’t Logan’s then there will be rage galore. Plus of course Logan would leave Odette once he found out Rory was pregnant with his kid like Logan isn’t scum he wouldn’t ever leave her to raise their kid alone, even if she wanted to do it on her own. And he’s a pure gem and let’s be honest Matt Czuchry (Logan) and David Sutcliffe (Christopher) kind of look better than they did 10 years ago so um congrats on doing that Anyone else watch the Resident bc of Matt???

I'm rewatching these videos 'cause I won't get over this couple and I don't want to do that. I love them and it makes me happy to relive their story. I believe that even though Rory wouldn't go to Logan just to let him know she's pregnant with his child (that would, in her mind anyway, get in the way of his family's plan for him), someone /something would intervene. I don't believe in the scenario that she would opt to deprive her kid the love of a father. She's Lorelai's daughter, but not Lorelai. She'll do what's right in the end. She's not a teenager and I think, she knows that somehow she still missed out on the love of her father 'cause her mom chose to do it her way. I'm a liberal, but I still believe that a mother alone can't be both a mom and dad. It's always better to have both. If circumstances don't allow that, then so be it. Hopefully, we'll have more episodes so we'll know what's next for Rogan💞

i always imagine rory as someone who wants her child to be raised by both parents. so when she found out about the pregnancy she wouldn't resist or be proud she'd just call logan. and in my head it goes something like this; she calls her a month or so after the revival, logan's getting ready to go to his wedding but it's Rory calling so he obv takes the call asks if anythings wrong, Rory says she doesn't wanna overcomplicate things but he needs to know something and that she doesn't expect anything from him, tells him that she's pregnant and its definitely his child and she'll keep the baby. logan's confused and shock so doesn't say much but Rory's crying and says I just thought you deserved to know and hangs up. the next we see of logan is in stars hollow that night with his suit bc of course he comes back for her leaving the dynastic plan behind. he's always there for her when he needs him and he'll always be.

From a psychological point of view, it was clear that Rory actually wanted her Dad to be part of her growing up(you could see that from the way she asks). A child cannot feel internally complete without a father's love, exactly the reason she cannot quit Logan for these years because Logan provides all the security and love which she desires. That is why she seeked advice from her Dad on the matter of pregnancy. Like Chris said, it was what supposed to happen in the past situation in which he and Lorelai were young and inmature. Rory wanted independence as much as Lorelai did at the end of season 7, and that's one reason why she said no to Logan. However, the situation is completely different for Rory and Logan now because they already on the track of their adult lives with Rory finally identifies herself as a writer(Rory was never the type for journalism). The life cycle for the gilmore girls should be complete in terms of the daughter correcting all the errors that the mother did(Like Rory went to Yale). Here is what I predict, Rory will finish her book and then tell Logan about the child, they will live happily forever(at least in my mind).

It's wild imo that ppl think Logan is right for Rory. I think he brings out the worst in her. Like... Cheating, stealing yachts, dropping out of Yale. Etc. Those were all choices she made but she's not herself with him. She got lost in that relationship multiple times. It's not totally on him, don't get me wrong Rory is a big girl, she was fucking married dudes before she met him lol but I'm saying he didn't really bring out the best in her. He doesn't inspire or encourage her like Jess. Jess turned into a really grounded and reliable person, like Luke, and I want that kind of man for Rory. If the baby is Logan's (and I think it is) I think he'll be a bit more involved than Christopher was but i can't see him and Rory working out. She has no desire to be in Odette's position. She doesn't want to be some kept woman in London. She doesn't want to be Emily to his Richard.

Literally that's the problem. I think she knows full well that Logan is the father and we all know if she tells Logan he would give up his marriage with Odette and come running back to Rory in a heartbeat and I think Rory knows that as much as we do. So all there is now is whether rory tells Logan about her child. We know Rory has been out of character lately and the fact she wouldn't tell him wouldn't be too surprising although fans would be in a rage for years.

  • @m3ntyb

    @m3ntyb

    3 жыл бұрын

The thing she doesn’t realize is Christopher isn’t Logan and Rory isn’t 16 and someone like Logan would be absolutely furious if she just didn’t tell him he had a child. I think she is worried she will *have* to raise the child alone because he won’t choose her and will stay with Odette which was why she was asking her father why he wasn’t more involved. Logan has way more assertiveness than Christopher and is more like Lorelei while Rory is like Christopher in her approach to others so he would not become passive in the situation and leave her to do it herself. He just wouldn’t. Rory also would consult with him and allow him to be involved like Lorelei didn’t with Christopher. ASP was trying to portray the parallels but made it confusing by not being more explicit and acknowledging the differences between the characters. Rory is not like her mom and the idea is Rory does not follow her moms path. Writing and telling stories is hard and putting them to screen is hard but they could have done it and people these days don’t want to guess or dream as much as have more concrete answers so it’s a nice idea but fell flat after too much time in between storytelling.

That part about him not being able to pay for the book always fell flat for me. I get that part of the point was that Chris needed to be shown as irresponsible as a way to 'sort of' justify Lorelai's decision to leave and raise Rory alone, but they should have made what he was attempting to buy Rory something much bigger. (Can he afford gas to leave town if he can't purchase a book? Lol!) And, I know I'm in the minority here, but the three of them had such natural chemistry that it was hard to buy Christopher as a deadbeat. Even though it's what we saw portrayed. Perhaps it's just the actor and his charisma. 🤷🏾‍♀️ David Sutcliffe was a great choice for Christopher.

She is a true author. Also, I liked that they made Rory more relatable. She was just too perfect, and did everything right in her teens/20’s. She was supposed to go through something like this! And about everyone going on about her marrying Logan.... the show started with her and her mom and it was supposed to end that way. Not with her married and in California.

Gilmore girls is one of those shows where I just never saw it ending with a cliff hanger or loose ends, its just not that kind of show but that's pretty much exactly what happened. It made sense that the last season of the original show felt kind of rushed and ended sort of abruptly because it was cancelled out of the blue and had probably been planned to have another season or 2 but that's why I thought a revival was such a great opportunity to tie up those loose ends but all it did was add more? Some characters got full circle story lines like Luke and Emily and Kirk but we never found out what happened with Loralei and Michel and the new inn location, we saw that Jess was still in love with Rory, Rory's pregnant, Jackson and Sookie's story line was never tied up, neither were April's or Chris'. Idk it just feels like we need another season of the revival to get some closure on a lot of the characters.

It's obvious that Logan is the father of this child and probably will never be a good father to the baby. It comes full circle in the sense that through it all... Lorelei couldn't stop Rory from having the same life that she had. The issue is that we should have gotten this ending in season 7 or even season 8 when Rory was 22-23 years old. Not the same age as Lorelei at the beginning of the series. Her mother has money to help her and will. Her grandmother is in such a different state of her life that she too will help her. She has A LOT of inherited money. She has a guilt ridden father. My guess is the book sells. She turns to blogging/ vlogging. Her mother legit was cut off. So, yes full circle but it just doesn't work in the same way.

My theory about How it gonna end up Rory will tell her mom that the father is logan ( obviously). She s gonna get mad cause she know logan has a fiancée. She ll ask rory to wait until the right time to tell him with excuses like the man has à fiancee his family dont like u, what they ll think of u, that they (rory, logan) try à multiple time to make things work out and it don't, that she can raise this kid ALONE Just like she did.not only logan she also gonna suggest to wait to tell emily cause she knows emily will want logan to assume his responsability. Rory will get mad at her because of her selfishness and because she dont want her kid to endure the same things she endured. She ll tell emily Who gonna be so happy about the news and about the father. Rory will let her deal with telling logan and invite his family cause she to coward for that and emily will ask him to propose again, rory will ask if it is what he really want he ll assure her that he always loved her. And rory will think about all her life without a father and How tramautic it was. She ll say yes, with that excuse in mind but because she always thinked that logan was her 's. Logan s family will get mad at him and treathin him, he ll let the family business to assume the gilmore legacy. And Just like all the Dreams the gilmore clan has for lorelai this one will also come true in rory. They dreamed about the presentation in society, about going to yale, about being with a rich man, and about marrying the father of his Child. And if it s a boy she ll name him Richard. 👍🏽 feel free to comment, like etc

after watching the revival, honestly was just sobbing, crying my eyes out, heartbroken after the last 4 words. all i have to say rory deserved a much more better character development and better ending. rory's character after s7 had so much potential since it come off as unexpected for me when logan proposed to her and she declined it and so, there was clearly room for rory (in the revival) to do you know great things career and life wise atleast after her and logan split. but no, the writers just messed it up, decided that rory becomes a side chick for logan, who's completely lost in life when rorry deserves so much better considering her driven, passionate, goal-oriented etc character from the start of whole show/series. others saying, the writers really pushed the "full circle" narrative on rory which i'm so unsatisfied for. lorelai and rory clearly doesn't have the exact same personalities, and i just thought rory would have a life ending uncomparable to lorelai since both characters are unique in their own ways. and logan is not even close to chris because i know if logan knew about rory's you know who, he will be there. lorelai's ending for me was satisfying enough for closure, but for rory i wish they will produce a s2 of the the revival just for rory and logan at least to have a better ending 😭

It is his baby. Think about it. Why rory asked to those questions to his father then happened with logan. She was happy she realized that for that said it was a perfect night. Paul did not work, they had not sex so maybe she went to back with logan because she was in love of logan. So they did it. And was happy but then was sad when logan told he had to go. I mean.... is not really obvious, it is?

I know that they try to put Rory on the same track as her mom, but this just does not work, they are very different and their situation are also very different. Only because the two of them had this nice only-mother-and-daughter thing doesn't mean Rory can't end up with the guy she loves, raising a kid together... History doesn't copy, after all, Rory does have a guy who is her perfect match. oh well

The whole series Lorelei didn’t want Rory to end up like her she gave her so much so she could get better opportunities like going to Yale. I don’t think Rory should have the same story as Lorelei.

Christopher’s reasoning for being an absentee father were weak af tbh. Yes, Lorelei wanted to do it alone, but he was sooooooooo absent. Even when he “matured”. This is the extent of their conversation about his absence? Literally pops up when it’s easy for him, gone when it’s hard. Then throws money at her.

Dads really do be like this……admitting they chose to take a passive role in parenting you then wondering why as an adult you don’t want to spend time with them. A kid is a commitment from start to finish, from birth to death. You can’t have a child then decide you’ll step back until it’s old enough for you to relate to it in a meaningful way. That will result in you never being able to relate to them on any level.

For once, Rory, choose love this time, over career and pretending to not love Logan. Let him be the father he deserves to be and you can answer your question already yourself : hasn't she deserved her Dad being part of her family as he is now? So her kid has the same rights. And it would be wonderful to watch these two (or three now) get their happily ever after, even if it means for Logan to have Lorelai as a mother in law (but maybe after marrying Luke she will be more stable and be a bit nicer now) and for Rory to learn that it is her life, her decisions and that she doesn't need to fulfill her mothers dreams but her own! And if that means having a loving husband and a kid and a job and be happy, than that's it! Goddammit 😅

And I think the writers screwed up here, they decided that in the end Rory ended up where her mother was, instead of showing how she went a different way. Because Rory + Logan and Lorelai + Christopher are very different stories. Rory and Logan's relationship was mature, they lived together, they supported each other, they understood each other and neither of them could ever do better.

I found Rory very couragous when she did not accept the proposal and move on for her career. But this season made me feel very depressive for Rory that she could not cut relationship with Logan and she is like a satellite for him, very weak portrait of woman. However, drama of being pregnant is irrelative. She doen't have to raise the child alone. Logan can be there as a father (it's a natural right for him) or even he may want to proposal again. So, I didn't really understand the "rasing kid alone" drama.

I like to think Rory moves back in with her mom and then she and Logan, after the reveal that her child is his, get to be married and she essentially becomes Emily, rescued by her husband, but she uses the time to grow and come into her own, like Emily did. She probably apologizes to Paul and the whole family reconsiders how they would have handled that situation when she was younger. They grow together and get ready to raise the next generation.

They broke the character completely. Logan fought so hard but end up just marrying for money and worked for his dad is so wrong. The message passing here is so pessimistic. Rory being a mistress is so not Rory. Assuming Jess to be rory’s Luke is a very cliche storyline. And what now? Gilmore girls life circle is the fate of becoming single moms? Are they being cursed or anything ?!

There’s a scene either before this or after this where Rory is scheduling a time, and they never show whom she was on the phone with. So the first time seeing it, it could be a character in the show like Chris. When you rewatch it though after seeing the final moment of the show, it’s pretty obvious she’s making a Dr Appt. Her demeanor in this scene is because she already knows she’s pregnant and is internally freaking out. This show was so beautifully shot.

The reality of this movie was opposite and sad. Lorelai who starts from struggling lady finally found her happiness, and Rory who starts from happiness finally become struggling. I bet upon the next season Lorelai will continue with her glorious, while Rory became more struggling. Even worst, I'm thinking at the end Rory might be dead while delivering Logan's baby and Lorelai will take care of the baby, since Logan don't want to be responsible for it 😢

Thank you for the 150 videos GG. I love it and always watch them. I refuse to think that Logan is Christopher other then they are trust fund kids/men. Rogan are in their 30s not teens so the circumstances would be different. Rory asking Christopher how he would have done things at 16 is just unrealistic. Logan really loves and cares for Rory. He would kiss the dynastic plan goodbye if he knew he was going to have a baby with Rory. Seeking validation from Christopher is wrong. She needs to go with her gut and be true to herself and tell Logan regardless how things turn out. He has the right to know if that is his baby. Love Logan always and forever 😘❤️❤️❤️
